I've been a bit critical of him as of late because he didn't seem to be bringing much to the table. Against unc he brought it.

13 pts 15 rebs.

His defense isn't always great but then again he's far from alone there. But he hustles hard.

He was worn out too. You could see it,still giving his all. He was a warrior last night.

He was in there taking shots in the chops last night. Most of those rebounds were just all ❤

I'll say this, both Cross and Withers looked much more engaged in this game than they have in a while. Withers showed a lot more of a pulse and even had a key block to send the game to OT.

One thing about both Cross and Sam their shots might be off but both of them rebound a lot.
Be great to see Sam have something in the sets to get him going other than a look at a 3.
Hell, just imagine if there were 2 or 3 guys having a night like Ellis.

That’s only going to happen if they start sharing the ball..
Man,I am well documented on how I feel about this. It's great to see Ellis go off like he does, but if he's on the point in the middle of a shooting night like he had the other night....he likely will do what we saw again.
There were a couple of possessions when he kicked it out but only a couple.
Whoever is running the point has the role of trying to get everybody involved.
And it's kinda what I mean when I talk about the set play. It may be the only way we get Sam involved. Run the play specifically for him.

Yeah we run that curl for Sam maybe one every 3 games? Otherwise Sam has to try and create his own shot, which is either a floater or a turn around fade away. Neither are either consistent.

And there it is. I haven't given up on this team finishing strong, but not without more balanced scoring.

Cross had same make up as Hancock. Has to get quicker on D. I think his ceiling is pretty high it will just take time to develop.

No one will be able to sort this out unless the players “fess up”, but I have not discounted the talent, just the chemistry. Mack must have literally lost this roster early on.

I've missed a few games but I have seen no comparison to Hancock. Would be nice, however.
