I agree. He's not a major program player. He should be playing for EKU or Northern Ky. He tries but he's just not any good. I was telling a friend the other day, this is what Terrance Farley would have looked like if he tried as hard as Mangok does. Maybe that's why he didn't because he knew he wasn't talented enough.

Mangok Mathiang is a Card so I support him. But he needs to improve big time or he may as well sit the bench.

He and Mahmoud try to play defense beside people and block their shots when they get around them. They are atrocious on defense. Pitino cant allow these kind of holes. He deserves criticism for allowing us to be in this spot at 5. It's embarrasing!

LOL. Good one Kerry. I believe reality has set in for ACCCard, just like I think it has set in for most of us.

Our defense took a HUGE hit when Jones got booted, and now the last line of defense (players playing the 5 slot) is getting smoked because of the poor on the ball defense from the point guard spot. Snider will get better but he's not going to magically get better overnight, and right now his on the ball defense is atrocious.

Mathiang played 4 minutes last night and got whistled for 5 weak sauce fouls. He needs to learn HOW to get his money's worth if he's going to commit a foul. 4 minutes + 5 weak sauce fouls + 1 turnover = pathetic.

The Dieng comparisons were unfair and unwarranted.

But, it was fair to expect hustle stats. He has had a number of lines like last night throughout the season.

I agree though at some point it falls on Pitino. He brings these kids in. Poor scouting. Mathiang shouldn't touch the floor for any high level program. The fact that he does says a lot.

Things just don't come as easy to him as they did with Gorgui. Those 300 shots a day for two months on his own paid off. Bathe harder you work, the luckier you get. A lifetime memory for this young man. I just cannot understand why people need to trash a class guy like him. Pretty decent body but no vertical.
