According to reports on WDRB 41, WHAS radio, and WAVE 3 News Matt Jones is considering a move to Lexington to run for the 6th district congressional seat. It would be interesting to see how he stacks up in a Congressional race. Maybe KSR isn't so good after all.

He'll get beat like a drum if he tries it. Dude's a known liberal Obamabot. and that won't sell well. They won't vote for nonsense like that. A good part of that area is coal country.
I hope it happens and he gets elected, anything to get that prick out of Louisville.
Probably the only thing that us the UK fans & you the UL fans agree on. Is that a whole lot of us doesn't like Matt Jones.
What is sad is that that dweeb will get eleted because Uk fans are that stupid.
He will lose. Mat won't get any votes there except for some of the liberal flakes that hover around any college town. His future will be relegated to hanging out at Hugh Jass Burgers in the Rupp area, a joint owned by the family of Allison Grimes, who is going to lose again.

Some of you want Mat Jones to get elected just to get him out of Louisville? You realize that if his political career advances, he could, in theory, become governor or a senator. And he's just the type of petty douche who would cut research funding at UofL just because he hates their athletic programs.

Apparently Matty Jones is going on OTL this afternoon. I am sure this is a ploy put together by Cal to make UofL look bad. Howie, is there anyway you could get on the show to try and give some truth to the subject matter so that Matt can't go spewing hate without getting called out? Howie could keep this on the facts which are these are allegations from a woman who has no credibility.
The same could be said for Jurich and the Card Nation. He speaks, you listen, you repeat what he says. We're all guilty of protecting our own.

I don't think he was on there to "represent" UofL. I think they chose him as someone who is close to this story from a local perspective. That said, poor choice. Why pick someone who covers Kensucky? Eric Crawford, Billy Reed, Drew Deener, or someone like that would have been a better choice. They are local, close to the story, and neutral. That seems to make a lot more sense. I hate Matt with a passion but I will give credit where credit is due. I saw him on OTL and he was fair for the most part. I honestly thought he'd take that opportunity to just rip into and make fun of UofL but he actually brought up valid points that at all of us have at least thought about in the last couple of days. Okay, now back to my usual Matt Jones hate.
Putting Deener or Reed on wouldn't of been much better when it comes to bias but Crawford would of been neutral. What about Bozich or Terry Meiners? Anybody other than Matt Jones. First the guy gets put on NPR and now ESPN. We wonder how we get the stereotypes of Kentucky. Putting Matt Jones on TV and having him "represent" Kentucky does just that.
