No one can question that Wes had the better pro career but as a Louisville Card, Griff is still the men's leader in total points. Yes, had Wes been able to play his freshman year then his numbers might be closer. Funny, if you disregard Griff's freshman numbers, their numbers (scoring average) is very close. The difference maker for me and most people is the NC. There's no wrong choice. U of L was 60-22 over Wes's career and 101-25 during Griff's. Also I think the 1980 championship put U of L on the map in college basketball.
