Louisville backup center Anas Mahmoud is expected to miss two more games because of the concussion he suffered in U of L's win over Purdue this past Wednesday, coach Rick Pitino said.
Mahmoud did not travel with U of L (8-1) to Phoenix for Saturday's win over Grand Canyon. If he does miss U of L's games Wednesday vs. Southern Illinois and Saturday vs. Texas Southern, Mahmoud would be in line to return to action for the Dec. 17 tilt vs. Eastern Kentucky at the KFC Yum! Center.
"If you look at the player medical records, Anas' is this thick since he's been here," Pitino said, holding his thumb and forefinger about an inch apart. "He's been out so much and it's his DNA, his makeup. This is his second concussion. It's probably going to take longer and we're going to err on the side of caution all along the way.
