Not hard to figure out that he played at Xavier and was an assistant coach there for multiple years. I feel like his ties to louisville are a bit of a reach when compared to xavier.

All I can tell you is that UofL is viewed as a step up in money and prestige and fits well enough into the “ties” aspect.

I suppose some people are “cut that way”. if Padgett isn’t ready Mack will be on the short list I’m sure. But I’m hoping Padgett is a huge success.
