Zipp as usual these are great stats that you've complied , but I think the larger issue is the overall continuity and flow of the game as well as the deficiencies these guys bring at varying times.
The numbers look good as an aggregate but the play is often suspect and inconsistent.
Just my take.

Mathiang needs to put something sticky on his fingers before every game. It'll help him hold on to the ball. You'd see him fight for the ball then drop it or the ball just flies off from his fingers.

I think I've seen these guys become better at protecting the rim over this season. That was a concern early. No freebies,no phantom-stand there -with your hands up defense.Block the shots or go down trying.I'm really happy with that progress.

Passing out of the post.It needs work.Just because you get it in there doesn't mean you've always got the shot. That's just a feel for that part of the game.Feel the defense collapse, somebody's wide open.

Defensive rebounding. If they start to go after it like at the other end,it will improve.Yes,it needs to be all hands on deck there though.

Offensive rebounding to me has been the brightest spot.

Overall, I think that position is showing promise.Stay steady, rebound, block everything in the paint and be better facilitators with the ball.

I agree with Hop. The post players for the Cards are tall with length and have really good defensive skills. Offensively, they're OK. Nobody has eye popping talent but everyone plays hard all the time.

Center by Committee or something like it. The numbers are not bad in the aggregate.

You can see that all 3 guys have worked on their games and are progressing. Agree with ears... They (especially Mango) have to learn and continue to work on kicking the ball back out sometimes.

They are really missing Anas right now.

many people laughed when I said Stockman would help us this year, now those same people are making statuses applauding him.
That kid needs more time and is the only big we have that will pass out of a double team, and will dunk the ball near the rim. Looking forward to him getting game experiance to get better.

Mathiang needs to dunk the ball and stop the floater, Mahmoud needs to stay healthy because he is the best shot blocker on the team.

The issue with using three guys stats to determine the effectiveness of our inside game is just what CRP is saying. You don't know which guy is going to put up the numbers for that game. It would be a lot easier especially on Pitino if he knew he could count on Mango or even one of the other guys to produce consistent numbers. Also bear in mind that our inside game has not impressed CRP because of the height advantages we have had. What they have done has been expected.

we have 1 week that will tell us who we are. Can not hide with our schedule

I heard something about a "tractor incident". No confirmation but the word from GC is that he has toe-thumbs, which would explain the issues.

I agree with most of this except that they did hold their own against a big and skilled front court in Purdue's big men. That showing was promising at least. I don't know if they can do it every time against a big and skilled opponent, but you have to like that they at least showed that they are capable of doing it.

Our bigs are mediocre on a good day. They all play "small" and need to find both the training table and the weight room! Enough said.

So when you scout this UofL team......you also don't know which guy is going to put up good numbers for the game either......and your center/front court has to know how 3 different players play the game instead of just one.....and know their strengths and weaknesses in a fluid game that moves quickly up and down the court.o_O

Put in that perspective.....that is a nice problem to have. Not to mention the 15 fouls you have to give out of that one position. This Cardinal team really doesn't have to worry much about foul problems and can play a style of play that can win the game of attrition if the refs call fouls the same way for both teams. That is a good luxury to have....don't ya think?

I agree. The big guys on this team may not be NBA superstars, but they are college players who play very hard every second they are on the floor. Like you said, they have 15 fouls to deliver each night out. I WANT the 2 who can to play physical to be honest. The only 1 of the 3 that plays that style of physical ball is Mathiang. I wish Stockman would mix it up more since he has the weight to back it up. I can understand Anas getting pushed around. He doesn't have the weight or strength so he has to play less physical. Overall I'm happy with the 5 spot production. This team needs to concentrate on passing the ball with better off the ball movement in order to improve the offense. The defense is top notch most every play. I have no complaints about the defensive effort so far.

Cue,

A lot of people usually mention the 15 fouls, but it is misleading once a player reaches two fouls in the first half or gets his 3rd foul in the second half, they are usually relegated to the bench because they become a defensive liability because they don't want to pick up the next foul. The only time using all 15 fouls means you are in deep do-do and have to foul.
