Louisville Volleyball #1 seed in their region for NCAA Tournament.

The University of Louisville Volleyball squad is the #1 seed in their region for the 2022 NCAA Volleyball Tournament. The VolleyCards will open play Friday, Dec. 2nd at the L&N Federal Credit Union Arena against the Samford Bulldogs at 7 p.m.

Purdue and Tennessee are also in Louisville's "pod of four" and will have the early game (4 p.m.) Friday.

The No. 4-ranked University of Louisville was named as the No. 2 overall seed pn the 64 team tournament thay begins Thursday at eight different locations. Texas was #1 overall.

Single Session Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 28. It's expected they'll go quickly and sell out.

The Samford volleyball squad earned an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament with a 3-0 win over Furman to the Southern Conference Tournament Title. In his seventh season with the Bulldogs, head coach Keylor Chan has led Samford to five SoCon Tournament titles. The Bulldogs finish the regular season with a 19-12 record (11-5 SoCon) and are led by Kenya McQuirter, who was named the SoCon Tournament MVP. The outside hitter has 439 kills, 75 digs, and 41 blocks on the season.

Five ACC schools got in (Pitt, FSU, GaTECH. Miami and Louisville). Teams from the commonwealth in are WKU and UK, besides Louisville. Both are in the Kentucky 4-team pod and could face in the second round if they win opening matches.
