i was at the game and to be honest i don't believe it was that many only because at the previous mens game that crowd seemed larger and the figure was 16,800 . But who am i to know just my own eye test.

Dear Red, will you read the headline of the post you are disputing? It is clearly addressing the WOMENS attendance, not the Men’s. Geez, when will our fans get over the last three years?

Understandable that there were likely fewer people in attendance last night versus last Saturday. Both numbers (16,929 versus 17,023) are tickets sold, not tickets scanned. There were very likely more no shows for a mid week game than one held on the weekend.

I'm down with the flu, but I was watching tv and seeing the lower arena appear to be full.. Great effort by those who braved the elements to go.

Looked like more to me. As a matter of fact I told my wife I thought that was the largest attendance for men or women this year. MSU might have been close. However, I was not there for the SuCk game. I find it hard to believe that game was less than 17,023. Still an outstanding turn out

Let me explain my synopsis on why i felt it was less. The Pitt game i was sitting in section 120 row x . bottom arena was full. Looking up at the 300 level basically had people in every section 360 degrees around not capacity filled but it was covered with people.

Well the women''s game i was sitting in section 325 row K and lower bowl was filled liked the men's game was. Okay now explain this i'm sitting in the 300 level for women's game the section i was in and the sections o the right and left of me were sporadically filled to only about three rows up or so at best. Past my row and that's with plenty of empty seats and a row empty in all sections. And when both endzones were totally empty to include just a few people sitting' in the corner both sides of arena. Their is no way the( ATTENDING ) crowd was more than the Pitt game. But as someone stated that's tickets sold. Nope not being a debbie downer just being honest of my opinion as i was at both games.

Someone tell me what the capacity of the seating is on the lower and upper sections totals seats.

From where I was sitting, the crowds for the Pitt and UConn games were pretty similar. Probably more in the lower level at UConn and more on the sides in the upper level but none in the upper end zones. Anyway, a great crowd and a great night. And no one should say anything about Louisville women's basketball fans not being on board with Tyra because there's obviously no issue there.
