National signing day is in the books for the Louisville football program and I wanted to just close with some general thoughts of the day, recruiting class, and where things go from here.

- The word culture has been brought up multiple times and for good reason, there was a definite lack thereof present with the previous staff. Tonight the entire feel of the room, from the three early enrollee's that were there to the coaching staff and how they talked and interacted was completely different than last year.

- I was talking to someone about the players already on campus and how they are responding to everything. It definitely seems like the attitude of the players has greatly improved and everyone is really excited about the direction of the program overall.

- Along with the word culture, the other word that has been thrown around a lot has been fit. This class didn't really move the meter from a star or recruiting ranking standpoint but the fact of the matter is that every player Louisville took has a very specific role that they were signed for. Going through the players and positions I don't see guys that the coaching staff just had to take because no other players were available and they needed a body. Coach Satterfield and staff set out with very clear plans as to what they wanted and were able to bring in a very impressive group of prospects.

- You can always tell from how coaches talk who they really like and would make an immediate impact. In this class, the two that really stood out to me were Jackson Gregory and Monty Montgomery. Satterfield said that Gregory will likely be one of the strongest offensive linemen from the moment he steps foot on campus and is someone they are really excited about. The other, JUCO LB Monty Montgomery, was also mentioned as someone that could make an immediate impact. I was talking with someone tonight about Montgomery and they said the thing about him is that he has a very dominant presence and he is very serious about his goals and what he wants. That shows up on the field with things like not letting anything get between him and the ball carrier.

- I inquired about Dequanteous Watts but unfortunately there really isn't anything more to report at this time. I'll continue to monitor the situation and keep you all updated, though!

- Evan Conley to me appeared a little bigger in person than I thought he was. With how the coaches talk about his leadership and work ethic and now seeing his size, I'm beginning to think more and more about the possibility of him claiming the starting job this fall.

- Strength and conditioning coach Mike Sirignano talked about a new program "King of the Ville", which will basically have 8 teams that compete in a variety of aspects such as strength and conditioning, on the field, academics, social events etc. I really like this for the culture of the program because it is a great way to create accountability amongst the players and truly build a player driven culture.

- Thank you all for following along and really making another NSD on this site amazing. I'm thankful I get to do this and look forward to another great year covering recruiting and Louisville football!
