Another 30+ point loss incoming. The only way this game stays close is if Miami is disinterested or just not engaged. 13-0 at home. Miami is my pick to win the ACC tournament. They may win the ACC regular season. They are good.
Still a good chance Miami will cover, but this is a nice surprise.
This strange season continues. Shooting 60 percent usually leads to a win but not with this group. I guess they'll need to shoot 65 percent the next game?
I'm telling you these teams are shooting much better against Louisville than other teams because they have no stress about losing to a 3 win team. They all have confidence and when you're confident, you make shots.
Miami, just like Pitt did, are making long 3 point shots against Louisville. It's amazing how good these teams shoot 3's when they play the Cards.

The only reason this wasn’t a 20 point loss is Louisville shot 57 percent. That is amazing and they still lost by 8. The other amazing stat is how many points off turnover they give up every game.

we played well. only 12 turnovers. not many shots with the shot clock winding down.

100%. They shot over 60% most of the game. I could not believe some of the shots the Cards made. They made Miami work for that one. When you shoot close to 60% from the field you’re supposed to win the game. It took another career night from Ellis and some hot shooting to stay close and they still could not pull out the win because of ill-timed turnovers and bad defense.
This had all the makings of a trap game for the Canes. They just beat up on Duke, overlook us and spend your time and energy preparing for UNC on Monday night. Probably felt all they needed to do was show up and get this win. Still, we give up 90+ points for two games in a row and it took a career night by Ellis to keep it as close as it was.

Big props to El, his effort and 30 + points is the only reason this wasn't a 20 point loss. Side Note: If the rest of team played with half the effort he did against Miami, we would have a winning season.
