Since Saturday Helton has been gaining traction as the new favorite to take over the Purdue job on the Purdue boards. Also mentioned on their most recent podcast as a possible favorite. Board members are not happy, they want to spend some of that 100 million dollar TV contract money and make a splash hire. Speculation Helton and Austin Reed could be a package deal.
