IF we beat Virginia tomorrow, then I'll feel a whole lot better about the at-large bid. Still might have to beat (NC State?) in the semi-finals to make it but a win over #1 in the ACC tourney might just be enough. That wasn't just another win. That was a win over a NCAAT team. I think we've got one more win to go, but that was enormous. Now, we need some other bubble teams to lose (Cuse, Texas, Ok. St.)

Spalding had 2 fouls for the game according to the boxscore. I haven't seen the game yet. I recorded it. I'll watch it when I get home.Did Spalding foul out? Otherwise why wasn't he in the game the last 10 minutes?

Same here SC. Can't feel too comfortable. A win over Virginia would make me feel a whole lot better but to be very honest, I would just assume the Cards run the table on this tourney to get the automatic bid. Seriously doubt that happens, but until it doesn't, it's possible. Not buying it, want a UVA win...

Maybe, but they also went 11-7 in ACC play and they beat the Cards on the road. NC State losing to BC feels like it hurt us IMO.NC St just lost to BC. Our RPI is much stronger than the Pack.

Yes, that's what I meant. At home you mean.
Our RPI is up to 34 after the afternoon ACC tourney action.
I assumed that was the motive of CDP when he went small, but he kept Anas in there, and we had no offense in the paint. Spalding was out a good portion of the first half, yet still was one of our top scorers. I couldn't believe CDP didn't reinsert him for Anas.I thought he was in there late. My nerves were a mess, so can't be sure. But, DP subbed for ball handlers and free throw shooters when FSU began to press.

I noticed that as well but don’t think it was 10 minutes. I don’t have any specific reasons but I think Spalding got tired although he only logged 25 minutes.Did Spalding foul out? Otherwise why wasn't he in the game the last 10 minutes?
Great and necessary win, but I find 100% a bit hard to believe. I'd say more like 60%, with Syracuse being a huge barrier (better resume' with a when over UoL H2H).
ND is more of a stealing the Cards bid threat. Their SOS is in the 70s, I don't think they make it unless they make a run in the ACC
I think Syracuse and UofL may both make it - that losing record for Syracuse in conference may hurt them... unbalanced schedule though.
Yes, I’d fear them as a bid stealer. If ND made the Finals, they will have racked up 2 impressive wins along the way. I think committee would grade them favorably because of their injuries.
Hopefully they go ahead and just lose tonight.
Here’s the thing... There’s literally 6 ACC teams in mid pack of the conference and hanging around the tourney bubble. U of L, FSU, VaTech, Miami, Syracuse, and ND. All are razor close in the ACC final standings and Computer rankings (we actually grade the highest composite ranking of RPI/KP/Sag). After the win today, we’re 5-3 head to head vs. that group with 3 road wins and a nuetral court win. We should be in.
Of course, it’s close enough that the NCAA can randomly make whatever decision they want and pick some gibberish narrative to back up their decision. If recent past is any indication, we don’t seem to come out on the right side when the NCAA goes the route of random gibberish. So who knows?
What I don't understand is.....Notre Dame gets special consideration because Bonzie and Farrell were out for large portions of the season with injury and both are healthy now. Louisville gets NO special consideration for their head coach being fired 2 days before the season begins.
A win today and I will feel confident we are in. A loss greater than 6 points and I will be concerned.
