The ESPN "investigative reporter"...how hard is this guy looking at things? IMO he's more actor than reporter. Wilbon said it best, this goes on everywhere. Sure, usually it isn't painted so sordidly. But that's the sensationalism of it all. Why report on the underbelly of sports here? Just to get at us? How many steroid dealers have a story to tell? Heard any lately? They're not too hard to find. Cough Gyms. Yet, they don't get published. There is some bad blood here.

Sex between students, athletes, and recruits go on at every college. Paying for sex is what
the IU and SuCkS boosters, are trying to take UofL down for.

One must do what one must do for saving careers these days. After all the big announcement yesterday from ESPN that hundreds of people are about to lose their jobs. I'd be working it too. UL and the trash invader happens to be the biggest story out there today.

Paying for prostitutes does not go on everywhere. Sex with co-ends, sure but strippers and prostitutes, not so much. McGee and whoever else was in on it went down a dirty path.

Hmmm, out of curiosity, I had a post in this thread and other thread just deleted... is it just me or are other people having that issue? If it's me, I'd appreciate if someone let me know what I did or said that warranted deletion.

The media has always been fickle with us. We arent one of their darlings so they turn on us as soon is turning on us gives them better ratings.

There are four programs that get favorable treatment from the media: Syracuse, Northwestern, Duke and Notre Dame. SU and NU get it because they have great journalism schools with many high-profile journalists as alums. Duke gets it because they have infiltrated ESPN on the basketball side. Notre Dame gets it because they have always been media darlings, especially with the dying East Coast print journalists.

Outside of those programs, I think the only agendas major outlets have are to be the first, most salacious with a story because that generates clicks and pulls in eyeballs.
