LJ and Ravens

So, have the Ravens clinched a playoff berth, or do they need one more win to lock one up? Not an NFL guy, so I don't know...

They have to win against the Browns. Not as simple as it sounds this season, but the first part of it is complete.

I’m not a big NFL follower either but I don’t see how anyone can argue Lamar hasn’t been the most impressive of the first round QBs. Takes over for an entrenched starting QB and leads his team to the brink of the playoffs. I’ll bet a lot of teams are wishing they had picked Lamar before the Ravens did with the last pick of the first round.
Most notably Buffalo and Arizona

They may, but I believe they would have used him wrong. Plus, the Ravens have a D.

LJ doesn’t have to put tons of points on the board.

Baker Mayfield has had a hellva year In Cleveland...Mayfield has thrown for 24 TD & 11 INTS while his passing percentage is 65%...more importantly he took a 0-16 Team in 2017 to it current record of 7-7-1....The Browns Win Total In 2016-2017 Before Mayfield arrived was 1-31

Now don’t get me wrong...Lamar has balled out...just saying those two are imo by far the best 2 of the Rookie QBs...Both Lamar Jackson & Baker Mayfield are now the faces and even as Rookies the True Leaders of those two teams and barring injuries both will be huge stars in the NFL

I'd give my left (you know what) if the Ravens - Browns games is on TV here, but I'm not holding my breath. :(

Lamar has benefited from the Ravens having a great defense. But Lamar has benefited the Defense also. The Ravens offense with Lamar at the helm chews up a lot of clock. The defense gets rest and is ready to terrorize the opposing teams offense.

And Saturday night when the Ravens fell behind for the first & only time in the game they had a two play 85 yard scoring drive. Both perfect passes by Lamar. The second pass, a 67 yard TD was a thing of beauty. Lamar still has some rough edges but so far so good. I sure hope they win Sunday because I can't stand Mayfield even though he has turned out to be a lot better NFL QB than I thought he would be.

Unfortunately for Lamar I think no matter what happens Sunday Mayfield will get Rookie of the Year because his stats are a lot better than LJ's and Cleveland has improved a lot with Mayfield at QB

Ravens are a legit Super Bowl contender precisely because they have the best defense in the NFL and the perfect ball control offense to go with it.

@zipp , the Saints are sitting Drew Brees tomorrow, and of course Lamar is starting for the Ravens who are fighting for a playoff spot with a win. Either one of these guys could get a Super Bowl trophy this year, pretty exciting stuff. I HATE THE (*)#$&#*&$)@@*( FING*&&*#)&$# Steelers, so F them, but otherwise with the Bengals out I am rooting for Lamar the rest of the way.

The thing to hope for is that Teddy has a career day so someone makes the Saints an offer for him. It is realistic because this is not a good year for QB's in the NFL draft. If that happens, both Teddy and Lamar will be starting on NFL teams next year.

On a similar topic, I saw a scroll during the PU/Auburn game showing that Teddy would start this week for The Saints.

I know Mayfield will probably get rookie of the year but after Lamar took over as the starter the Ravens have only lost one game and that was an overtime loss on the road to the #1 seed in the AFC.

Whats booger McFarland got to say now ?

No what cares what booger gots to say

The only thing the Haters Like Booger can say...”Since taking over the Starting QB job in Baltimore is this”...Ravens were 4-5 and John Harbaugh was thisclose to being fired....since then the Ravens have gone 6-1 and won the AFC North.

Did all this while NOT throwing any Interceptions-(That Right ZERO INTS which is underheard of for a Rookie QB) during the month of December..but let them hate while Baltimore continues to win...

I was hoping for a Ravens'Texans matchup so Lamar can shut up his other hater.

Now they can only meet in the AFC championship.

I am going to root for that....that will be a lot of fun to watch. Also, I think that will give Louisville Football and Louisville's Heisman winner multiple mentions because Watson vs Lamar was a big talking point for that collegiate season.

Actually DeShaun isn't a Lamar Hater...That was Dabo...this is what DeShaun Watson said about Lamar before this past Draft

“I think he can come into the league and produce,” said Watson of Jackson. “If he gets around the right coach that’s going to buy time and be patient with teaching him the offense, teaching him the things to be very productive at this level, I mean, he can do the things I’ve done. He’s shifty, has a strong arm, makes good decisions, quick decisions, quick release.”

When Gruden asked Watson what he needed to do to win the Heisman, Watson threw some shade Lamar Jackson’s way.

“I’m not sure,” said Watson when asked how to win the Heisman. “I guess lose a couple of games?”

Maybe not hating, but an unnecessary comment. Lamar was first team ACC QB right ?

He well deserved the Heisman over Watson
