Could not believe that he was blasting people for saying that Calipari's comments were self serving and that Calipari did not want to give Notre Dame the credit that they deserved. He said that Calipari was just being honest. Bull sh!t.

That smug jerk's first words to the reporter after the guy asked how tough was this test? was to say "well, we didnt play very well, Notre Dame controlled us all game but we made the plays when it counted. Then the Squid babbled something about having freshman getting beat off the dribble. The last question from the reporter was when he asked Calipari if this was your team's stiffest test yet and the Squid replied No! we've had other tests. The reporter then rolled his eyes and looked to get away.

Not the biggest of deals but I was amazed that Valvano was ripping people and calling them "haters" and "stupid" for saying the same thing that everyone in the country was saying after watching the interview. Lost some respect for Bobby V right there.

Yell i heard him SMH! He also went on a rant about how everybody should be happy about them possibly going 40-0 , Wow amazes me how winning changes peoples perception of a person. Cal has always been labled as slimy, but since he is the coach at one of the Blu Bloods he is now a saint. Why the hell would any one that is not a fan of a particular school want sucess for another program. I'm sure Duke and NC don't want the other to be great. So why in the hell would the Louisville fan base root for Uk to go 40-0 , i sure the hell ain't. And any true Cards fan that is saying i root for the state teams is full of ****!

Bobby V doesn't know anything more about hoops than some of us! You saw how Bellarmine exploded once they dumped him and got a real coach. If he cares to take up for Cow to hell with him.

Let me make an analogy to what Valvano said: "everybody should be happy if the rude, selfish, hypocritical, inconsiderate, condescending, stuck-up bad boy scores the girl of his dreams". LOL. Saying that kind of ish tarnishes his late brother's legacy and entertainment value.

Should he have said "Notre Dame gave us their best shot and we still beat them?"

He gave coach speak and gave credit.

The only issue I took with Cal's comments was that he didn't applaud Notre Dame or Mike Brey given the context that he had just buried his mother that week. He could have been classy instead he was swarmy and self-indulgent.

That's true. He also must've forgotten that Kentucky got extremely lucky in the last 5 or so minutes, not missing a shot or a free throw. I wouldn't call that playing poorly.
