While Spalding's play was the big story, I wanted to specifically give props to Lewis and Lee for their great games. These guys made some big time plays during the game, especially in the first half when N. Florida would not go away. Great leaders that really have bought in to Pitino's system.

Lee played 38 minutes and Lewis played 36 and neither guy looked tired at all after playing so hard. Both guys have the ability to be a one man team and could take a shot on every possession but they are so unselfish, do not force anything, let the game come to them and keep everyone involved.

It's a shame we couldn't have had these guys for 4 years.

Lee is more than just a scorer. He's a slasher and he moves very well without the ball. And he can hit FTs.

What I may like the most is his intensity. He is bringing it on both ends and he is appearing to be a supportive teammate.

I am liking what I'm seeing out of Lewis too.

Lee is very intense on the court . Only one negative both have a quick trigger but it's probably due to both of them being the man on their former teams and still learning when to shoot in Rick's offense.

Did Russdiculous have an itchy trigger finger, lol? How do you like your All Americans? Predictable??

Just messin with ya, fist. Lee is the real luxury for us this season. How many teams can go out and get the 4th highest scorer in the college game the year before? He is a born scorer - that is precisely what he does. He should have at least one 40 point game for us this season and I would be more sure of that of we weren't so loaded with talent. all needing minutes of their own. His closing speed to the basket is amazing. If he is in the area for a defender, the ball is already shot. He shoots and scores, lol. From anywhere.

Now Lewis is behind Lee in those contexts................but not by much, lol. Getting these guys will change the landscape of hoops this season. Being this disregarded going in is Paradise for the patient.

Hard to believe NBA scouts didn't know enough about Lee to get him into the draft. He's not far from the total package, maybe a little better ball handling...

Great player but a little undersized for the nba with his skill set. He's really a 3 in a 2's body. If he works on his handle and range to compliment his ability to get to the hoop and defense, he would have a good chance IMO.

That's why I said he needs to work on his small-player skills. Hard to find many weaknesses in his game otherwise...

Really glad to have Lee and Lewis as part of this team. I think their leadership, both on and off the court, will be invaluable this season. I like their poise and heady play so far.
