Looks like the Twilight Zone of sports has visited the women's team at UofL. They are losing at the half against a 0-4 Marist team. They have missed at least 8 close inside shots. Some call them layups. Hines-Allen has missed 4 on her own. The Cards missed a ton of these shots in the 2 point loss at WKU.
So far the vaunted recruiting class is not looking that way. Asia Durr hasn't played tonight and of course the local announcers haven't mentioned her at all. Coach Walz is obviously frustrated as he benched Moore and Hines-Allen to start the game. He's been substituting 4 and 5 at a time in this game and the team looks way out of sorts.
This season may end up being nothing like everyone thought. There's no really take over player except maybe Jackson but she's so short it's hard for her to score if the other team is keying on her. Need Durr to be the #1 rated recruit and one of the inside rookies to pick it up. Fuering looks like she can be another Sara Hammonf type. The Cards need her to be that.
