I’m sorry and I thought it might work, it can’t and the longer we pretend the longer we wait to get a good coach. Our program prestige and fan interest is going to go so far down.
I’ve got a list of reasons.
1. He isn’t recruiting. He was brought in to bring in top talent. He hasn’t at all. Idc about a cloud of probation. Mack recruited pretty well all things considering.
2. The team has gotten worse. Last year was rough and we were 13-19. But that was a team without a freaking coach and one then a firing mid year. He didn’t come in and bring new life. UNC was the national runner up and we took them to OT. We played UNC, Duke, and Michigan State to single digits. This team can’t even beat Division II opponents?!
3. He has no idea what he’s doing. There’s no plan. He has no track record or experience. We can’t point to his past jobs and say “let him get his system” but WHAT IS HIS SYSTEM?!?! None. He couldn’t even build a roster with average transfers. No urgency.
It’s a disaster. No reason to be this bad. He doesn’t get it. The longer we wait, the worse it will be.
For the good of the program, I wish he’d resign and save us the money.
