I said it a year ago and I'll say it again. We missed on this kid, and he was playing right over off Brownsboro Road @ Ballard. He has been a solid D-I player at Butler and yesterday leads them with 16 points in an upset over Arizona.

Had this same convo after Martin's SR year at Ballard. Everybody said you don't take Martin over Shaq Aaron! Aaron was top 30-40 recruit Martin was top 100-150 recruit. My reply was you don't become a top 3 scorer at Ballard High without being an impact player. Martin will probably have his jersey retired at Butler.

Keep in mind that Tony Hicks was an impact player at Penn...

I'm glad that he's doing well, but who would you want him to replace in our lineup?

I never said he was a starter, but the question is did we miss on him? Can he play for us? But, if you're pressing me for a name how about Deng Adel? Anybody! He had 30 points today and WE CAN'T SCORE!!!

we can score with Hicks and King but our coach is in full swing with his mind games and breaking players down to build them up his way mode.

Recruiting is hit and miss.

Theres no guarantee Kelan would be performing this way at UofL.
Would he be a team player or the man?
Coach Pitino prefers the "team" method UF used, in back to back Titles.

Coach Pitino is more of a 'teacher' than coach.
The "AAU" coaches are more of game managers. They load teams with superstars, that role players defer to. I wont criticize this 100% because many of these type teams win.

As long as Coach Pitino is competing for ACC Titles and getting to FF's every 4 years, i wont complain about his recruiting.

Every four years? Really? Is every four years good enough for the idiots down I-64? In Alabama in football? Every four years doesn't cut it for me.

I mean it's ok to simply say Coach P let a kid from the city slip past him. It happens. Look at Dwayne Sutton for example. Kid was literally right across the street from campus. He's a Card but it took a year longer. Doesn't mean coach has lost it.

Unc has the most final fours with 19 in a hundred years of bball. That avgs to about 1 every four years. Expecting to be there every other year is unprecedented. There will be times that you go back to back etc... but there will also be times you don't make it 5 years or more.

There are a few kids every year that in hindsight we can say that they are a Louisville or Kentucky caliber player.
