What effect will all this Katina Powell issues have on PJCS and Jurich's plans to upgrade its seating and accompaniment's? This escapade by the Basketball department I'm afraid is going to cost UofL far more than it bargained for. Will Ky's legislature back or endorse building programs at UofL in the near possible future? Will the ACC recant its position on UofL's addition to its Conference and toss us out? Crap this is going to get messy! Tom Jurich and Rick Petino knew about this book coming out in August of 2015 and still planned to have PJCS upgraded! Crap crap crap!!!

Cardstud1, while yesterday was not a good day I do not believe it affects the stadium expansion, ACC membership or (cough) the KY legislature's funding. Damn, I thought I was down - you need a batch of med's!

I am on Paxil but it don't seem to help! I just love my school and team and the progress its made....and then this crap, damn!

Completely separate from all that noise. Headlines come and go. It'll be forgotten in a few weeks.

To a certain extent his paranoia can be true. There are supporters, donors to both the sports programs and academia side of the University who have religious and or personal moral standards that may cause them to not donate due to the embarrassment this has brought on.

U of L could lose professional staff, endowments and top incoming students who do not want to be associated with such issues. Believe it or not but many dean's, professor's and administrative staff detest sports despite the revenue they produce. When a scandal occurs due to a related sports program it only enhances their detest more.

If a Dean at the University had a staff member create an issue such as what is occurring now they would be out of a job. Students who are working their butts off, and paying tens of thousands of dollars, to earn their degree don't want their school to be a embarrassment and laughingstock.

Collage is not all about sports. Sports are a small part of it and it's just entertainment.

You hit the proverbial Nail on the head! That is my concern! I graduated with honors at UofL and am/was very proud of my school! We went all these years with no problems...until now!

Hasn't UofL had embarrassing faculty issues in the recent past? This will be old news sooner than later. A lot of fans have their panties in a wade.

It may become old news with the general public and sports fans sooner then later but for the hard working staff at the University of Louisville it will be there until the NCAA and law enforcement agencies have completed their investigations. Longer if criminal trails result. Who knows how long if it is all true and violations are imposed or convictions occur

It's discouraging that no one even considers the actual University and the embarrassment it has incurred but are just worried about Coaches, players and games. A fan just cares about the sports programs but staff, students and alum care a bout our school which takes care of a lot more people then a basketball team. We love sports to but our loyalty is to the school.

I think U of L faculty are probably more embarrassed by the School's relationship with Mitch McConnell than any sports-related stuff. Th y are mostly pretty left wing.

Academia within a teaching environment is always at odds with sports programs. They usually don't worry about sports related violations.
