Kansas suspended basketball coach Bill Self and assistant Kurtis Townsend four games to begin the 2022-23 campaign amid an ongoing NCAA investigation, as CBS Sports reported Wednesday.
Kansas also self-imposed recruiting sanctions, including the reduction of four official visits for the next two recruiting cycles, a reduction of three scholarships over the next three years, a six-week ban on unofficial visits, recruiting communications, and a 13-day reduction in recruiting days during the 2022-23 campaign. Both Self and Townsend were held off the recruiting trail from April to July 2022.
