Mangok was lucky to hit the one he did right there...

or 1 of the 12 Trez missed
This.^ Its not all on Mangok or Trezl. Considering Mangok's FT numbers he made one and that was huge.

Mangok needs to shoot 1000 this summer.

Congrats to MSU.
Or a putback….2 years in a row he was weak on a crucial putback.

I don't know the stats but it seems that the women's team are better free throw shooters than the men.

Mangok's effort at the rim kept us alive at the end. The missed FT was huge but his tip in that rolled out was the difference in making the Final Four and going home. Then again there were so many missed shots and Free Throws that it's a testament to this team's guts that they even had a chance to win at the end.

Here come the trolls.

Go dig yourself a hole and jump in..............

Or they call the goaltending when mathiang puts his hand through the goal and it doesn't go to OT. Point being both teams laid it on the line, great game to watch.

Or they call hook em townes charge in the 1st half, and ND is in the FF.

Go play in traffic, loser.

That game was there for the taking. Our starters looked beat toward the end and had no legs. Several guys missed point-blank lay ups and FT not falling. You let a team like MS hang around at the end of the game and lose a close one. What a season! I hope the young players got a taste of what they need to be successful, hit the gym this summer and really work on their game.

I don't blame Mangok. He hit the shot to beat Virginia in the regular season. He'll be back better than ever next season. We missed a few free throws throughout the game, and took shots that were kind of questionable. Fatigue set in for everyone.

We made the Elite 8. If you would of told Me that We would do that in the middle of the regular season, I would of laughed. This team played with heart and determination. They found ways to win without shooting the lights out.

The ones coming back will get better. We will be back again soon enough.

That is the most frustrating aspect of it all.

I followedoat of the game through the espn gamecast, and it looks like a lot of layups were missed.

Mango need to practice with an oily/slick ball to improve his handle on the ball. Dude has got some of the worst hands for a center. So many times during the season, I've seen him missed easy put back or corral a rebound to have it slip out of his hands when he tried to bring it down. That last play would have been a 2+1 if he'd dunk it instead of trying for a soft put back that rolled off the rim.

If Aaron hangs in there, he can walk right into the spot Blackshear just vacated. Jaylen Johnson can walk into the spot vacated by Harrell (assuming he follows thru and leaves), and We have 2 big time guards coming in to help Snider and Gill assuming Rozier leaves.

The next chapter of Cardinals basketball will be a fun one IMO. The players coming and going is part of the game, and I'm glad we get to enjoy our guys for more than a few months before they leave.

I wish Mangok would of dunked the crap out of that ball and I had a feeling He wouldn't hit both free throws after watching him shoot all season. To me He played well for being Mangok. All of our bigs need much work.

Onauku to me seems like He's regressed late in the season. He hasn't been much of a contributor unless its been fouls. I'm hoping that Rick can teach these guys to be Monsters and rebound and shot block like champs next season and put a few points on the board like Centers are suppose to do. Every other team utilizes their centers except for us.

I am not a troll. Have been an avid UL fan probably before you were born. I live and die with UL basketball.

What the game boiled down to was missed free throws, other than Wayne. If we make a few more free throws throughout the game, it is over in regulation. Free throws must be made to win this type of game. We had plenty of opportunities.

Kerry, dig a hole? He!! that's where they come up out of is a hole. Please, I want to see the 40-0 tees and couches burn baby burn.

I know Mangok's only a 50% free throw shooter, and he was damn lucky to make the first. But, man, just one free throw away from the Final Four. Ouch. Yeah, you can point to a 1,000 different plays, but it was right there. And I thought he was going to make the put-back.

We missed so many shots around the rim. I like Mangok, I really do. But he missed a big putback in last year's NCAA loss to UK that would have extended our lead to 9 in the last four or five minutes.

Man, that was an excruciating game to watch. I mean, if you had offered me OT when we were down 6 or 7, I would have taken that in a heartbeat.

But. One. Lousy. Free. Throw.

One other thing. Uncle Verne, please retire.

It did come down to Mangok's free throw but that is very unfair to him. Everyone will remember it because it was the last one of course but I don't like blaming everything on Mangok. I'm not pointing anyone out but just saying. If others made their free throws - Snider and Harrell- we might not have been in that situation to begin with. But it was a team loss and no one person is to blame.
