than nay other team in school history. if you stop and think, they have the entire cardinal nation resting on their shoulders. we all expect them to win and be in the tourney while playing under the most extraordinary circumstances which have never been seen in college basketball. they've been under more scrutiny than any other team, the coaches have dealt with thing they could have never dreamed of, they face taunting because of a situation they had nothing to do with, and yet they still fight on when they could have easily collapsed.

i think as cardinal nation, we should all applaud and be grateful to the players and coaches for not giving up, fighting against all odds, continuing the cardinal spirit. so no matter what happens today, i stand an give an ovation to coach pagdett, his assistants, and every single player on this team for doing louisville proud in the face of the strangest adversity ever handed to a basketball team. You have represented the school with class during the entire year. Thank you

btw, Go Cards, Kick Some UVA butt!!!

I see your point, but st the end of the day, it is just kids playing basketball. Once the ball is tipped, strippers, banners, payments and who is coaching you are forgotten.

They have had to deal with a crap load of drama.

(RP still managed to have his obligatory dose of drama on the team this year-his biggest EVER)

As PO'd as I've been, I can't help but think...if this bunch can just do what they're capable of...we can make a run. A deep run.

There have been flashes. But, overall, I just don't think they can play as a team for long stretches. Somebody always decides "It's MY turn to score" or some BS, and there we go.

But, if they can just stay the course for a little while, they have the talent to make us forget the brain farts.

You Cards! Beat Purdue!

one thought rollem, about not having that go to guy when you need it, i believe if you look back at RP's tenure, siva during his senior year was our only true go to guy, someone who you gave the ball and he knew what to do with it, either drive and shoot or dish or take a jumper, he could do all three. it takes a killer mentality and i've always thought when you constantly adjust your starting lineup to match the other team you lose that focus of one guy being the man. in 2013 we mostly had the same starting lineup every game. but every other year, it changes game to game. i think that also effects finding who your go to guy is. if the lineup changes every night your go to guy can change every night but that means they never know who they are actually going to.

Life is all about pressure and adversity. One's success or failure is based on how one responds to it. This team and coaching staff have failed. NO leadership on or off the court. These aren't kids, they are old enough to vote and get drafted to fight for the petro dollar. So many accept and appreciate mediocrity and failure I for one don't.

that's a horrible statement, the government forces the 18 years age on them, every person is different and a ton of kids who were forced to kill for their country came back screwed up beyond belief so saying they are old enough to be forced to fight for their country so they must be adults is just very narrow minded and clueless. i love how some fans think they should know how players should feel and react to stressful situations. i think any adult complaining about college kids makes that adult look foolish

I doubt that brookstreet is an adult...

I agree. Likely a child on his mothers computer.

This years team has seen adversity and had to deal with distractions not of their making. Lets hope that whoever the next coach is can keep most, if not all, of these players and the difficulties faced this year will pave the way for a much tougher team in the coming years.

I think they have had less pressure. No one really expected much this season compared to most years when were a top 15 team competing for banners. Sure the media attention has been negative and all that had an effect but I don’t know about pressure
