Not a good look for the BB with Rick having to go before the committe this week..I thought recruiting less than stellar talent is suppose to eliminate this type of crap. And you wonder why some of us fans hate Ricks recruiting i rather go down swinging with elite players screwing up than players like Johnson. Tired of this BS always something.

No one is happy with it. This isn't on Coach- kids will do what kids will do. No one will pay more than Jaylen for this. Awful timing and he didn't come clean with the staff and they heard when everyone did. That's one immature 20 year old and he will pay the price.
I don't lamblast the kid for being a immature kid. I'm pissed at how some fans are acting about the overall look. This BB program and University has never been under more scrutiny and we are due for Ncaa infractions punishment in the very near future. Thats all we need is things of this to be put in front of these committee members .Plain and simple from an outsiders view it seems Ricks program and players are out of control.We know better because we are local fans that follow the program closely. Outsiders only go by what they get from the media and other sources with an agenda.
Can't change others perceptions. I don't try to. Like it or not, this is an asterisk by coaches name for the rest of his career. With that said, I still believe he does things the right way and get this behind us and stay clean. At least it was a misdemeanor and not felony assault, rape allegations or something worse.

I think because we're so focused on UofL, it's easy to start thinking we're worse than average just because stuff is happening here. But it's happening everywhere. You have to put it all in its proper context.

When did this happen? Was it recently or did it happen earlier in the season and just now went to court? Wondering if it coincided with the way he was playing at the time or an indication of why maybe he wasn't performing like he should. It's hard to run up and down the court puffing on a joint.

JJ will be lucky to still be on the team when next season gets started. Really bad timing to break team rules, it doesn't matter the rule. I'm not one to make a big deal out of a college kid getting busted for weed but UofL is on some next level heightened alert and nothing is small right now. I am sure Rick has laid into every player on the team about being responsible right now. I'd go as far to say Rick probably lectured every one on the team like a little brother who's big brother got his girlfriend pregnant by accident. I'm just curious how JJ's mom dealt with this. I'd hate to go home to her and tell her I got busted for weed.

It's bad timing, but we're not i the sh*t b/c some players smoked weed. I've never heard of any problems from Jaylen in 3 years. Sucks that he got in trouble; but don't care that he smokes grass.
Welp.....Guess he took himself out...or Pitino helped him take himself out. Guess Zero Tolerance is real, no matter what the official release says. Timing means more.
