Not totally sour grapes and of course, not a completely analogous situation. Brohm made the decision that he thought was best for him - fine. That said, when UofL made it plain that it needed him - he failed to answer that call.

Any special feelings that the fan base had for him based upon the belief that there was a reciprocal feeling from him, should now be put to rest. At this point, he’s just another in a long list of guys that played here and, there’s really nothing special about that.

I wasn't going to type this BP but damn it. I think Brohm was scared of the expectations. He can say all the coach speak he wants about finishing what he started blah, blah, blah. I think that he would rather stay at Purdue where expectations are low. If they pull out a win over one of the big boys of the Big10 once a year and go bowling their fans are fine with that. Where as at The Ville he knows that we will not stand for mediocrity. We have been top 5 in the country and played in and won power five bowl games. I am sorry if this sounds like a dissing or soul grapes but it is how I feel. We are the University of Louisville and we have expectations. We as fans know that our date with destiny is coming and we won't sit back and pay a guy who is not up to the task of getting us to a championship. I said my piece, Go Cards!

Brohm would have had 4 years to establish his program.

Thats plenty of latitude and patience.

He could have coached here 8-10 yrs then moved on to the NFL and 95% of UofL fans would have not had a problem with it.

you guys are a joke!
You and your cream puff fan base are the joke. Purdue is the a**hole of the Big 10.Northwestern gets more love than you guys and they are regarded as a "nerd"school. Lucky for you Rutgers is there or you would've finished dead last every year before Brohm. In state you are a joke. When is the last time you played or beat Notre Dame? Guess what we beat that a**last time with a running back playing QB. You kept your guy now scurry back to the west side of Indy stay off our boards. Or better yet beg your Ad to set up a home and home so we can show you what the U of L Cardinals can do on the football field.
