I know we all were upset he went to the draft, but it appears he made the right choice. After we saw how COVID destroyed this year, glad he went and got his money. Big ups to the local kid!

Lots of players get called up to play this time of year. I recall Deng Adel getting minutes at the end of one season for the Rockets. Where is he now? The big test is opening the season on the roster and sticking long-term.

Yawn, post again when Scrubb does that. The bulk of the games (unless you’re team is fighting for a playoff spot) mean nothing down the stretch. Not hating, just tossing out a bit of reality. Wish him well but I’m not sold on him in the NBA.

And a year at UL would’ve changed that?

Where did I state that? I could care less about him jumping to the NBA. I think everything I said is accurate. A lot of meaningless games being played, and a lot of two-way contract guys getting a shot right now.

I didn't follow it as closely as others, people probably weren't upset he went to the NBA, they were probably upset he took a long time to make that decision and may have hurt the Cards ability to sign a player out of the portal or from HS, or from JUCO. But I could be wrong about that.

I think he had foot surgery that derailed him all year. The NBA does put a ton of different guys out there late in the year to see what they have. He produced the other night with a ton of minutes. It's real hard to determine what happens to all these guys that play in these games at end of the year, which is pretty much what SC said.

Example - Walter Lemon Jr. A couple years ago he had a few great games for the Bulls at end of year, I remember him because he was a salary bargain in Draft Kings. He's now playing in Tel-Aviv.

I'm not saying it would of , not at all. But it could of? He went 55th as an unknown JUCO. Yes, scouts are all over this stuff now, for sure.

It's not like the NBA draft wasn't gonna happen this year. It's also not like UofL was all that good last year. Scrubb could have put up some big #'s here, this team had zero depth and a poor offense. He could have been the #1 or #2 option....we'll never know. He could have played his way into a 1st round pick in the upcoming draft, if he came here we'll never know one way or the other.

If you go look @ the 1st round picks, nearly all of them got on the floor much sooner than now. Teams have a bigger commitment to those players, there's the contract guarantee stuff too.

What we do know is it is for sure a good accomplishment that he was able to get 40 minutes in a late season game as a young player in the NBA, for sure. It's hard to know what these franchises want to do with players. A large % of these teams are not trying to win. They just throw dudes out there that work hard to give them a chance, but it's really unknown what their futures hold as 2nd round picks and/or as a FA.

It’s possible he plays on their playoff roster if they liked what they saw. And they’re a NBA contender. I’m pumped for the local kid.

If not for COVID, he may have went to the Cards. But 2 years of Juco and honestly the stock of juniors don’t usually rise much, I wouldn’t have wanted a year where I didn’t know what the season would be like and under lockdown. Remember. A year ago, it was debatable if we would’ve even had a season.

Yeah Nwora has shown he can produce so has Scrubb on a smaller sample. There are so many good players it's all about opportunity
