James Scott

Two of UofL's opponents are also on the list with IU's Oumar Ballo at #8 and Tennessee's Felix Okpara at #15. Big test for Scott and the rest of the front court guys.

This feels a little ambitious, but maybe it isn't we haven't seen games yet. That's not to say I'm unimpressed. I think this is a guy that is going to improve the more he plays and be a good fit here.

But guys in this range are putting up some pretty big #'s, but maybe he will. Hey I hope he proves me wrong. We don't have a ton up front so there is real opportunity for him. Can he stay out of foul trouble?

Pulling for him.

I think it's a little premature for Scott to be up there with the others but then again I haven't seen him play any real games yet.

He didn't get a ton of minutes as a freshman at Charleston but everyone says he has a high upside. He's nowhere near as proven as the majority of that list though, at least not yet.

It's good to see an outside source take notice.

Reactions: shadow force
So far, from what I have seen, he doesn’t force things, seems to always be available around the basket, and has great hands!

All true. If he can provide some rim and paint protection and rebound it would be big for this team. The quickness, athleticism, and hands are there.

Good to hear, but I can’t help thinking the 5 spot is our weakest position.
It is. The main concern, so far, is how the team will defend a big post player like Ballo on IU. Also rim/paint protection and rebounding.

We're hoping Scott can grow into a role where he can help alleviate those things when he's on the floor. Of course CPK has shown an affinity for playing 5 out quite a bit so far so Scott's minutes may be limited.
