J. Thompson Looked Like JR Richards today

this is going back awhile, but JR Richard was dominant pitcher for the Houston Astros in the 70's when they wore the crazy horizontal striped shirts. With thompson on the mound with our red stiped shirts, i instantly thought of Richards when i turned on the tv. just thought i'd make myself feel old Go CARDS!!!

You know I thought that James Rodney Richards was dead but I'm glad to here that he is alive and well and serving as a minister in Houston.

I just remember he had a stroke that ended his career and years later was homeless and living under an overpass. Glad to here he is well. He was one nasty SOB on the mound. Glad my Tigers drafted Jeff and here's hoping that we keep those retro unis in our rotation next year..
