No kidding. His antics worked for his team because the refs swallowed the whistle for a while when MSU was on defense.
Izzo is a great coach and his whining is part of the package. You have to work the officials and he does it as well as anyone.
Sure did work. I love the way this team is playing especially defensively. Amazing how many lucky tip-ins and banks MSU has made and how many close in shots we have missed but still a great half.
One thing MSU does best defensively is stop the kick it out pass when you dump it in or try to drive and kick.
Might come down to free throws and keeping them off the offensive glass.
Yep. Gotta feel good going forward but the BS charge call against Damion was criminal.
Izzo worked the referees the entire night. I guess in a close game, a call here or there makes a difference. I heard that Michigan State has not lost a game to a non-conference opponent at home in over 100 games.
Well apparently whining works for Coach K too. I think they have the longest non conference home win streak in the nation. Maybe we should try it but it usually backfires against Rick.
Rick works the officials as hard as any coach in America or harder. All the programs that are consistently winning have coaches who work refs the best.
Love watching Cali-scared-i act like he wanted some until he realized Chaney was serious so he grabs the big guy's arm in the purple stripe shirt and pushes him forward between him and the angry Owl.
