Everyone thought they were nuts in March and it turned out they were just the first domino. It’ll be interesting to see if any other leagues follow along, especially those in the Midwest where hospitalizations are starting to overwhelm the healthcare system.

Here’s a problem - universities are some of the leading medical research and medical care providers. All researchers agree that you should avoid indoor gatherings, should social distance and should wear masks. None of this is possible in basketball. So do the universities contradict their own medical research? From a financial perspective it probably makes sense for P5 schools, but it certainly doesn’t for Ivy schools.

I don't believe there is complete agreement on anything but the mask should be worn in public settings. But if you are one to agree with all Dr Death(s) and don't seek out other doctors, researchers, etc that have differing opinions, that's one's prerogative.

In basketball or other indoor sports wrestling, ice hockey for ncaa, if players and officials are testing negative prior to competition why not play?

Dr. Death(s)? Not sure who you are referring to. Seems that scientific thoughts regarding masking and social distancing are pretty consistent. Yes there are some doctors that are herd immunity proponents but they’ve been roundly debunked by the AMA. From the rising numbers of hospitalizations it’s apparent we are in for long winter. I think the Ivy League wants to at least appear to be part of the solution and not tie up testing resources on sports.

AMA hasn’t done a fricking thing to help me in 20 yrs, except for 1 outside the box MD. If that’s your idea of medical knowledge, sorry Hank, I hope you don’t ever get screwed by the AMA, CDC, NIH and Fauci. I have been, so I believe I have the right to write what have I lived and had to learn to survive on my own.
So I wasn't chattering politics.
