I believe Satterfield will have the troops primed to play their best and take no shit from the felines from lexville. After we beat that ass and coaches meet at mid field Satterfield throws L's up in porkys face while doing a happy dance followed by a diamond cutter..

Early line, UK -3. That’s because of home field. ESPN’s Matchup Predictor has it Cards 56%, UK 44%. Hopefully, Satterfield has taken his head out of his ass, and he finally gets what this game means.

If Vanderbilt can beat UK at home, UofL can. But, I'm afraid of Satterfield's approach to this game. I keep thinking back to last year, and his comment about "I can't believe what the score was," really made me think he's got no idea UK lives to beat UofL.
Strangely, I have faith in the defense. The offense, not so much.

Anyone paying close attention to those recent losses to UK would not be placing the responsibility on the coaching staff. The blowouts were representative of the difference in talent, size and depth. UK‘s superior size and physicality was evident for the entirety of those games, but it was the second half difference in depth and health that resulted in such a beatdown.
UGA had the size to match UK, but in that second half you could see that UK was equalizing the Bulldogs on both sides of the LOS for a number of critical series, which explains why the game was as close as it was.
UGA had it first and goal and yet was denied all 4 times, and that serves as an example of the size and strength that UK has up front.
The “big blue wall” is no where close to last year in either their run blocking or pass protection, but still formidable when Rodriguez is in there.

You know, UofL has beaten bigger, better teams before. Satt doesn't seem to prioritize this game. That's not an uncommon criticism, either. I'd love nothing more than for him to get this win on Saturday.

Because we also have the BC loss on our hands that was embarrassing. We’ve played better since. But they’ll be up for this game. and if BC can beat us, that means they can beat us.
Right now I go back to the last time we were on the field with them and we couldn’t score or stop them. I will say, their line isn’t great. But they have some great talent at the skill positions and Levis is a good talent at QB.
We have to play with pride to beat them in their house.
The cats are beat up after UGA, you guys seem to have some injuries also. Your defense has improved tremendously as the season has gone on. The UK Oline is a shell of what it was, your D is top 5 in sacks and the pressure comes from everywhere. Cheers to a good game with no more injuries.
Maybe it's the fact I'm pissed that the US blew their 1-0 lead yesterday to Wales, but I'm in Eric Crawford's corner in thinking UK is a bad matchup and pessimistic of our chances in Lexington. Yes we have played tremendous defense in the last month and a half and seen a Dumervilesque performance from Abdullah against Pitt, a performance against Wake Forest and it's prolific aerial attack from Clark that Sam Madison would toast and turned over a lot of good football teams, but I'm not confident in what personnel we have tackling Rodriguez for 60 minutes. We aren't a load the box defense and the biggest reason why is what happened against FSU and BC in succession...we essentially committed that safety to playing less man-to-man on slots which softens the tackle box one less body. We really need to see more composure than we have witnessed in the last few years since they lost their's on the sideline throwing garbage cans around Lamar like some cheap Saturday morning highlight of Jerry Lawler and Kamala (from Parts Unknown to Man) in Memphis. We've looked like chumps every year since and spare me "they started it". Is that all it takes to get us on tilt?

If Evans was healthy I'd feel better, but UK's front is the biggest--and longest--we will have faced all year and I think we are very susceptible to being pressured as a result even though statistically that isn't a strength of UK's defense this season. The untold story of our recent month and a half of good football is we really haven't blown anybody off the football despite playing much better in 2nd halves of games and I've been underwhelmed by the lack of productivity we've seen from the receivers outside of Hudson.
One area which we should feel good--and it's a big one in rivalry games--is special teams. We are very solid; they are borderline atrocious in the kicking game. Each phase from the snap to the hold to the kick being made can be breathtaking for UK. If we get big differences in hidden yardage that would be a big plus.

You are being generous only saying it's atrocious, the cats special teams is a hot steaming pile of shit. The Oline while better with CROD is still very weak. The D has been steady, not great and not bad(minus UT).
The most interesting comment from CH was, "I'm not confident in what personnel we have tackling Rodriguez for 60 minutes". Totally agree, but in truth, he has not been anywhere close to being in the lineup as much as most would expect. TV Commentators and even opposing coaches have questioned why he is not in on more snaps.
With that said, he is a difference maker in terms of keeping his legs churning at all times and it will be a huge challenge for our defense to contain him whenever he hits the LOS.
