It was a helluva ride...

Being in contention, part of the conversation, the attention, even the scrutiny, it was an experience. It was good prep for future seasons to come. Still stings a bit right now, going out like that, but it's been a very good, very entertaining football season, with two more big games to follow, plus the Heisman. We simply get to enjoy the rest of it now. No pressure.

Here's the good news. Now that we're in a P5 conference once we pay our dues we will someday have our shot. I think many feel this will be our only shot, but this is just the beginning. Our team is gaining experience and it will pay dividends down the road.

That shot could come as early as next year with Lamar coming back. Of course that also is predicated on the thought the offensive line gets better, and the defense gets better too.
