It is Louisville

Who made the best recent hire.

Ohio State with Holtman. NC State with Keatts. Those are very good hires.

But Louisville getting Mack was the best hire of the past couple years. I applaud Louisville.
When you say best hire do you mean out of the 3 or out of the country

I think he is the best hire in the country. For us to be 9-4 with the schedule we had and no recruits this season is nothing short of spectacular. Not to mention a top 3 class coming in next year.

I think we will have a good year. We played our worst game this year against the third best team we faced.

I don't think we are that bad of a team we lost to some really good teams by close margins. Today was our worst performance and we lose by 13. We haven't been blown out by anybody yet.

You don't think losing by double digits is a blowout? How many points constitutes a blow out to you?

I agree it was the the Cards worst performance next to the loss to UT. Something about those SEC teams this year.;) jinxed I tell ya.

The prolly just better...... no slam intended....... Think you guys are up ticking faster than I would have imagined but not there yet and you would not have expected it to start the year anyways/////

With the 3 point shot 13 isn’t a blowout. We were in the game minus a bad stretch in the 1st half and late in 2nd half. UNC lost by 8 and we lost by 13 and we had a bad day. I’m good with where we are given the circumstances. The future is bright.

That was by design. We didn’t try to push the tempo. Walked the ball up after both misses and makes. Conservative and try to keep it close.

Mack's doing a good job. You can hold the reins on "great job" talk at this point. I predicted an NCAA bubble team finish this year, and that's about where this team is headed with a 9-9 finish in the ACC. Better than that is better than "good"--how much better is TBD...

I ask again...how many points is a blow out to you or anyone else who wants to answer?

Had the Cards won by 13....IMO that would be a blow out win.

IDK how UNC did vs UK.

I do agree with your last 2 sentences. Going into the season I pretty much thought it would be a 20+ game for UK to win by....so there is that. Future could/should be bright for sure.

Many variables though to know for sure...the future is hard to figure some times.

If you want me to nail down a number I would say 20+ points. But it also has to do with play. Other than a lapse in the first half and a little lapse at the end we traded baskets for 80% of the game.

I wouldn't say it was a blow out where the wheels come off and it was a highlight reel of good for one team and bad for the other.

But it was not a competitive game either.

That’s your analogy? How long were we in the lead? Ever?

Yes because the question was were be blown out not did we get beat. You joined the discussion way down stream

Reservation is understood, and probably healthy at this point. But man, I see a TREMENDOUS future for you guys coming - and sooner than it probably feels like. Remember, we had our time too . Rebuilding can be painful, but being "back" feels even better. U of L will be back. They're almost there already.

Thanks, but I wasn't addressing you or your fanbase.

I think we are back next year with a stellar incoming class. Cal owned Pitino and I dreaded these games because I knew we would get tossed but in the next few years under Mack I think the game will be a tossup and exciting once again.

I believe you guys will be a top-20 team next season. When both teams UK & UofL are good. This is the most intense rivalry in college basketball. Don't believe this UNC-Duke crap. I know of 2 different people that were born and raised in North Carolina. Then later in life moved to Kentucky. They both said that the UK - UofL rivalry is far more intense that the UNC - Duke rivalry. UofL has the right coach in place to get you guys back to the elite level of college basketball.
