Is the game streaming?

I cannot believe those dirt bags at Spectrum want more money to allow a subscriber to watch their lousy internet sports channel. I get their regular ACC channel, but not their so called "Extra" streaming service. They'll not get another penny from me.

At my Father’s house and we were trying to sign him up for the ACC Network. Spent about 90 minutes on the line with them, and at the end of it all we ended up without the ACC Network because Dad needed upgraded equipment.

So we’re watching the game on his TV using my Hulu live subscription. $44.99 per month, ($67 less than Dad’s Spectrum subscription, without the ACC Network!).

By the way, if you have the ACC Network with Spectrum, you should be able to watch this game through the ESPN app. It is a little bit goofy ... you have to go into the ESPN app, select Watch on the UofL-EKU game, and then authenticate your service by selecting Spectrum as your provider.

You will have to provide your Spectrum user name and password, which means that you need BOTH an ESPN account (for the ESPN app) and a Spectrum account.

I don’t believe that you have to pay anything more for the ACC Network Extra - you just have to subscribe to the ACC Network. At least I don’t have to pay any more with my Hulu Live.

Just discovered that actually I don't have the ACC network. I pay extra for sports channels, but contrary to what I was told, that package doesn't include the ACC network. I've pretty much decided to get Hulu and get rid of Spectrum TV. I've got a smart TV and Roku, so it shouldn't be too painful to learn.

Watched every second on live streaming. No issues at all, and as far as I know I'm not paying any extra. We held a very good FCS football team scoreless tonight. 170 total yards is all the defense gave up tonight. Very impressed! The offense looked better in the second half and so did Pass. He was wild and inaccurate in the first half but looked much better in the second. He has got to get more accurate or Cunningham will take his job IMO.

I cut the cord earlier this year. Got Roku devices and signed up for YouTube.tv. Saving $100/ mo. Over Directv, and I like it better. Today’s game was not on the ACC Network, but no problem, I added the ESPN app to my Roku, signed on with my YoutubeTV account, and it worked like a charm. Cheaper, and better. All good.

Sling TV.....$38 a month and that includes ACC and ACC Xtra....Plus lots of other live games. Watched today from Colorado and enjoyed every minute.

So the game was on ACCN app which reading gave the impression you needed to be an ESPN+ customer. More $$$!

I hope we are not going to run into this situation often.

I’m not an ESPN+ customer, so that’s not a requirement. You have to have the ACC Network as part of your package with whichever provider you are with. And you have to load the ESPN app on your computer or smart device. I have a free account with ESPN as part of the app (and also since I play NFL fantasy football), so it may also be a requirement to signup for a free ESPN account in order to get the app to work correctly.

Sling is also pretty good. I had it until late August when it didn’t look like they were going to add the ACC Network. That’s when I dropped it and went back to Hulu Live.

Sling with a digital antenna for your local channels is a great combo if you live in an area where you can get local channels easily. It’s my bad luck to currently be living in an area where there is only one local TV station within 50 miles. Hulu Live is great in that case because they pick up my location and stream the local channels from Indianapolis as part of their service.

Did the same thing, was just about to pull the trigger and go to Hulu when they announced they'd picked up the ACC Network.

I've did a bit of reading on streaming the ACC Extra games and think I've got it figured out. I'm in Louisville and have a TWC legacy account with Spectrum. I'm reading that regular Spectrum accounts get the ACC and ACC streaming, but TWC legacy accounts do not. I suppose this is an effort to encourage legacy accounts to go away since Spectrum wont simply add the ACC channel but instead requires the legacy account be converted to a regular Spectrum account. I've read that some ACC channel and ACC Extra network games are broadcast OTA on a couple of local TV channels. WAVE channel 3.1 was one that was mentioned, don't recall the other.

As a Former TWC legacy subscriber, you should make sure your rates haven’t gone up. That happened to me so I had to switch to a Spectrum account to get about the same rate as I was paying previously. The ACCN network is part of that package.

Thanks! My bill has gone up about about 30% in the past two or three years so I'm more motivated to cord cutting than getting new service with them. But, I'll see what they have to offer.
