If some changes are not made pretty quickly they may win fewer games than last year. Here are some random thoughts on what may help. But even with these, it is going to be a long season.
KP needs to reduce the rotation. Dennis is not ready to play at this level. He is a liability at both ends of the floor. Needs to replace Dennis in the starting lineup with Traynor and slide BHH to center. Clark, White, and James are other starters. These guys have to play a lot of minutes because they are our best players and the guys off the bench have a long way to go, but some have potential.
Subs would be Wiliams, Johnson, Glenn, and Okorafor.
Consider using Traynor at the center when BHH needs rest. Okorafor is a good rebounder but is still extremely raw and gets lost at both ends of the floor. Traynor mostly played center his first year under Mack.
Needs to play some zone as it requires less energy on defense And it helps protect them from foul trouble. He has to keep his best players on the floor as much as possible.
I really like William's potential. I have not seen Glenn play much but has shown some flashes of really good athleticism. Something most of these guys are lacking. However, Glenn really hurt us in the first half last night when he missed the front end of a one-and-one and then missed both FTs shortly thereafter. James sitting out a long stretch in the first half with foul trouble also hurt us badly.
While I think these things would help, It's going to be a really long season.
