Late in BP's PC this week Jake Lourim(CJ) asked BP when exactly BP had learned about the Rape allegation against KA. You could see the hair stand up on the back of BP's neck. You could tell he did not like the question, but he calmly answered it. I thought this was a cheap shot question trying to trap BP.
Apparently he asked BP about the allegation as he walked off the practice field earlier in the week. BP told Lourim when you asked me about it after practice, that's the first time I heard about. He then admonished Lourim for writing in the article that BP declined comment. He said that was misleading. He said I didn't even know what you were talking about so I couldn't comment.
BP also explained that he caught heat from the press for not commenting on the Averitt situation earlier. He indicated that his bosses had asked him not to comment on the situation until given the OK to do so.
His final point was that whenever there is an issue in the program they are going to do the right thing.
