Impressed With VJ King

This was my first real chance to see King play as a Card and I came away impressed. He seems very versatile, can shoot the 3, go inside, rebound, and pass. He had a great bounce pass to Jaylen but Jaylen flubbed the dunk. Went 3 for 3 from downtown and finished with 17 pts, 5 rebs, and a steal.

The one word that best describes King's play right now: Smooth.

Only a Frosh and already led the team in scoring in his 2nd game. 17 pts in 17 minutes. 3-3 from 3 pt line.

Like most 5 star freshmen, his offensive game is ahead of his defensive game. The kid is a baller though, and he's going to be a great player for the Cardinals. He is very smooth.

He might still be. I wouldn't be totally surprised to see him break thru and start before conference play. He is very talented.

VJ is going to be awesome. This team is really starting to look the part of a national title contender. We may have some difficulty in the half court against big physical frontcourts, but the helter skelter defense will minimize that issue.
