I'm worn out.

We tried to give it away several times. How about Brian McMahan. Stepped when we needed him.

This has been the face of the UofL program pretty much since Pitino arrived.

Dominant D at times, look like world beaters in stretches, look like they've never played the game before in others.

Do just about everything wrong down the stretch it seems. Some guys man up, step up in the clutch - other guys mysteriously show no balls.

Draw up a play for final shot that ends up being a half court heave LMFAO.

I mean really it's rather amazing there haven't been more like the past few. This is Louisville basketball.

I'll take it.

Two tough wins in a row, against one good team and one pretty good team on their home floor. Both teams badly needed to beat us and failed. In neither game were we at our best but we were still good enough and tough enough to prevail.

I'll take em!

PERSEVERANCE!

Cuse was desperate, yet denied.

Snider, Anas, Donovan, JJ, and Ryan all stepped up at the right times.

By 1 or 100, its a win.

Now go practice your FTs !

VT, youre on notice!

You definitely get your money's worth with these Cards. Highly entertaining, yet, often stressful games. I've aged probably ten years the last few days.

For the life of me I can not understand why king wasn't in the game when it went to ot. No Mitchell......seems like a no brainer to me that we could have used he scoring with arguably our best scorer not in the game.

Because he wasn't playing well. He was playing scared. Ryan seized the moment though and he wasn't playing afraid. The youngster has a ton of grit. McMahon deserved the game ball IMO. He came up huge in the OT.

He doesn't get enough time not to play scared. Look what he did against Virginia. Can't get into any rythem playin 2 min sperts off the bench. McMahon played great I don't want to take anything away from what he did.

I know what you mean, but the playing scared part was him looking over his shoulder worrying about getting pulled for Adel. He didn't have to worry about that in the Virginia game.

I watched him closely during the Miami game. He is lost on defense. It is simple as that. If you don't play correct defense you won't play. Pitino is very consistent on that.

Weird part is, after having missed his last six or so shots combined with those really bad turnovers, I thought Adel played scared the last 5 min of regulation and OT. He did get some boards but he couldn't get the ball out of his hands fast enough on the offensive end. Add to that Levitch being shaky and that gave McMahon the opportunities to come in and be clutch.

Good observation. I thought the same thing. Adel had 5 turnovers and was killing the Cards at key moments during the game. Happy for the win, but it was exasperating watching it.

That is exactly why Adel needs another year at U of L, not to say that he would go to the NBA anyway. Really needs to work on ball handling and keeping his head up. If he works on this during the summer he could be a really good player.
Exactly right. It also prevents him from being able to create his own non-challenged shot. Developing a better handle is certainly a lot easier then developing a good stroke and Adel is pretty good in that area.

Does anyone seriously think Adel is ready for the pros? At least one more year and probably two in my mind. He's inconsistent, is an average ball handler (and that's at the college level).

The pros don't necessarily care if you are "ready", they try to project your "potential". Much like baseball, do you have all the tools i.e. size, length, jumping ability, ability to get their shot off. Adel does possess all those, the question is can he better himself by staying in college when the focus is team play not individual. Others have chosen the latter.

Yes.

In Australia.
He is coming back. Probably for two more seasons. He is a sophomore still learning.
Cards aren't in the position to finish top 4 in the ACC without him.

Keep in mind a # of guys that turn pro aren't "ready" to turn pro. A lot of it comes down to financial need, how guys are wired in general. Post season has a way of boosting stock for some guys.
