That should be the result and would be appropriate for what was a joke to begin with. Pay for play has been going on for years from shoe companies, the NCAA and everyone knew and turned a blind eye. When the FBI forced the hand on a bullshit operation, they had to address it and now only a handful of schools are going to suffer for something everyone was doing and is now perfectly within the rules!

Great news if it's indeed true. UofL basketball has already suffered over half a decade. I can't wait to put this crap behind us and finally be able to start fresh without the sword of damocles hovering over us anymore.

This is reasonable and makes sense. Clearly, time has been served and we're several players/coaches/ADs/presidents down the line from the events. The university and program have suffered, to levy more at this point would only punish fans and people within the program that had nothing to do with any of this.

I agree I'd remove NCAA from all the banners. Ever seen Kansas' banners? Just say NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. I'd hang three of those up. Screw em

Can't wait to get it over. It effected recruiting ever since, so it was like an indirect death penalty.
