I propose that every fan wear their 2013 champion shirts at the Senior Day game

just to get a point across.

(Or being with them those small 2013 banners you can buy in stores)

:D
Go ahead and subject yourself to ridicule and make yourselves targets for smirks. I will cherish the 2013 Championship in private with family. It wasn’t an issue before when the banner was in doubt but basically what the NCAA is saying is we won with ineligible players. Wearing those shirts now means you support cheating.

It’s also not fair to this group of players who had nothing to do with it. Don’t make it about something else. NCAA doesn’t care what you wear to the game, they’re not watching us.

If you really want to make a statement, you can order and wear one of these T-shirts. My guess is they are being marketed by Kevin Ware, who said this in response to hearing yesterday's new. And FTR...this is a post meant for laughs...not any actual call to arms, for the really serious minded fans right now. :)

I disagree, respectfully of course. Wearing that shirt is showing resistance and disrespect to the NCAA decision while showing support for the kids who won that championship. Nobody is condoning what happened with the strippers and parties in Minardi Hall. Everyone who decides to wear a 2013 NCAA championship shirt is saying the penalty was over the top harsh and did not fit the infraction. That's all. Showing up for senior day after all this happened is for the current group of kids who chose to stay even after finding out what happened. They didn't have to, and some chose not to.

i don’t have any issues with this and if you feel strongly about it I support it but these kids signed up for U of L basketball. I’m sure they assumed as many that the banner would be upheld but again that was for a team and coach no longer there. The quicker we put it behind us the quicker we can move forward.

"Greg Postel Sucks" is my garment of choice until further notice. I'm getting my church picture taken in it next month...

What gives you the impression that by continuing to wear the championship clothing, you're supporting what was happening behind the scenes?

On your last point, (1) yes, the current players were not apart of that title run, but I imagine they too feel the same way. At least Donovan Mitchell has spoken about it. And (2), I'm not saying this will make the NCAA change their mind.

I’m just saying that’s fine to wear the shirt if you feel that strongly about it but we have been trying to put this past us. Maybe it’s too soon after the decision but trying to make a statement by wearing a shirt seems pointless. Who are we sending the message to? Pitino, McGee, Katina, Postel, BOT, NCAA? Wouldn’t we just be sending the message to ourselves since our fan base can’t even agree on who’s at fault? NCAA won’t give a rats ass if we wear 2013 shirts.
