Breaking news that just came out hours ago. Texas a&m's starting qb for the first 7 games, and the last few games, Kyle Allen, has decided to transfer immediately. I'm not joking, or lying, 100% true, look it up, but ya I was pretty stunned, that sure adds a wrinkle to all those pundits who picked a&m to win. Allen is a sophomore, and was a 5-star prospect, and the #1 pro-style qb. He had 17 tds and 7 int. So far this season, he had around 2200 yards too with not starting every game, idk how many he played exactly. Regardless, the freshman they have to back Allen up, Kyler Murray, has only 600 & some yds and 335 yds rushing. 1 rush td, 5 pass td, and 7 int. He has played in 8 games in his first season in NCAA. Oh also that wasn't a misspelling, it is actually "Kyler", which is okay lol it's just odd, but speaking of odd , I believe our odds have just shot up substantially. Especially since until today, Texas A&M was preparing for the bowl with Allen as the starter. Now they have to rely on a true freshman who didn't kno he d be playing till today, so I'm sure he was thrown for a loop. I'm hoping that the lack of experience and being thrown on the spot effect his play. We may not even need him to be rattled, there is a reason he was made the back up for a second time this season. 1st to start the season, and 2ND after he got his shot when Allen was struggling during the season, but I guess Allen struggling was better then this Kyler guy... I can't wait to see the game now.. well I couldn't before, but I'm excited to see it even more, we have a better shot at a convincing win, would wa nice way to end the season..

Sometimes the backup quarterback ends up being better than the starter or gets so motivated he plays better than he should. The one that hurt us the most was the 5 overtime game against WVU when the starter got knocked out and they introduced us to Pat White.

It is huge news. So much so that Vegas has temporarily taken the game off the board and Louisville will likely be favored when they put it back on.

The Aggies may have a capable backup but losing a quality QB like Allen is a big blow. He may not have been Dak Prescott but he is still good.

I agree, losing your starting quarterback is a big hit but I don't know enough about them to know if their backup is good or great. I know everybody including the talking heads always tell us the best players are in the SEC. They also tell us that Florida and Texas are loaded with more talent than everybody else.

If it is Kyler Murray that plays his stats in limited action this year were 72/121 for 686 yds. with 5 TDs and 7 INTs. Hard to gauge off that I think.

It's understandable that us Cards fans are always leery off backups coming in after Pat White as you mentioned. I can still remember that stiff that was WVU's starter in that game (Bednarik was his name I think), he was awful. Knocking him out led to us not going to a BCS bowl.

Like I said, we have some special
fans that are not real knowledgeable outside their own team. Dude was a very very highly rated recruit. Very similar to Jackson but was rated way higher.

Serious question: do you follow college FB or just UL?

Kyler Murray was 1st Team All Freshman team QB for the SEC. I suspect he will be fine. And the game is not off the board in Vegas. Current line is TAMU -1 to -2.5.

His parents obviously couldn't decide whether to name him "Kyle" or "Tyler", so they just compromised. If it had been down to Fred or Joe, they would have picked "Fro" or maybe "Jed".

We have some really special fans. You obviously don't really follow college football.
Why don't you lay off the Louisville fans, your pretty dumb, what do think, yea I think we all follow ul, and ya prolly most of us don't keep up with every college football team. Now with keeping up with college football, I would I say I do as much as anyone else, I'll watch a game between two teams idk if it's the only one on, I watch the college football shows, and then of course look up Louisville football daily, now the fact that I don't kno the rating and stats of a completely different teams back up quarterback I think is pretty normal with most fanbases, so the fact that you tried to make me feel bad...or make fun of me or whatever u were doing, is pretty low and dumb, obviously everyone else was agreeing with me and saying no I actually do think this is big news. It happened so much that u had to get back on here and explain yourself, so screw you. Sorry for the language, but your the one that is "special". Take all that energy and direct it at UK or A&M, and not at our own fans. I believe EVERYONE will agree with me on that

Well stated Cardfan. You beat me to it.

Well stated? Ummm no. We, like all teams, do have some very dumb fans. Op is one of them. Never heard of Kyler Murray? Oh and learn the difference between "your" and "you're."

I have no idea what website you are looking at, but it looks to me like it is on the board (including the MGM). http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-football/odds/las-vegas/

Frankly, I can think of no reason for it not to be live. A change at QB is not a serious enough issue to cause Vegas to kill it.
It is back up at the MGM Mirage today but it was off the board there Saturday and yesterday. As far as the offshore books go, I have accounts with both Bovada and Betus.com and the game is still off the board on both those sites. I am guessing it will be back on soon but right now it's not. Bovada is the most popular offshore gaming site for Bettors in the United States.

Although you are correct that most all sports books in Vegas have the game up, I'm guessing the offshore books are taking a more cautious approach. It's also very common for bookmakers even in Vegas to temporarily take a game off the board when a key player and especially a Starting QB is injured or suspended until they can properly adjust the line.

If Aaron Rodgers breaks his throwing hand in practice tomorrow, you can be sure that the next Packers game will be unbettable until they can remake the line. A good analogy of this would be the game with Green Bay say, being a 6 point favorite at Oakland next Sunday with Rodgers healthy then being taken off the board practically everywhere until maybe Friday with the new line being GB - 1 1/2 with say, Brett Hundley starting.

As far as the line changing with the sudden transfer of Kyle Allen, it looks like it has had only a slight effect. Maybe a 1-2 point swing towards Louisville. Makes sense.
