And it relates to my question in another thread. He pointed out that this woman's first call to expose this stuff by her own admission was to the NCAA. Only when she was rebuffed by them did she seek out the publishing company.

You don't call the NCAA first if you are after money. This was possibly a personal vendetta towards Andre McGee but more likely this lowlife was financially backed from an outside entity to bring the Louisville basketball program down.

Think about it, she kept notes, text messages and other records the whole time while she apparrenly was being treated well? And being the good moral person with a conscience she just wanted to show that it is wrong how some programs provide hookers for recruits? Oh ok!

And finally her insistence that Rick Pitino knew about this is beyond bizarre. She and whoever is backing her knows that for the full effect to take place you have to mention Pitino. That may end up her undoing.

None of this will have much bearing on when the NCAA investigates this and we may still pay a price but the picture is becoming clearer.

I agree the picture is becoming clearer. It seems that there is now hard evidence linking a transfer of Money from McGee to Katina Powell and there are also more players that are coming out saying they did in fact attend these parties. I feel bad for Rick because I don't think he knew and according to his interview he just wants McGee to talk to him and own up to what he did. Rick deserves better than this crap.

That's why you don't get involved with whores. They lack morals, many are drug addicted and they will use anything they can to fill their pockets or to feed their habits.

While I think we can all agree with that, it seems we are well beyond that now.

There is still a lot more to this whole thing that will come out.

Question 1: Where did McGee come up with the "tens of thousands of dollars" that were supposedly funneled to Ms Powell?

Now that everyone has convicted McGee, let's just ask him to turn himself in and admit to everything so we can get this over.

McGee will not say a word until his attorney has determined that they have strung out enough rope to hang themselves. The story just does not fit what has been discussed in book.

Too small a book to have a lack of consistency like were seeing and hearing. Remember Twill's statement? I guess what he said is now false?

Until then, show some patience.

I still say IU is in on this...largest booster own Publishing Company...they could have stopped it.

Just read a quote from Pitino on ESPN where he's putting all of this on the shoulders of Andre McGee to do the right thing.

"I don't know if any of this is true or not," Pitino told ESPN's Dana O'Neil and Yahoo! Sports in a conference call Tuesday. "There's only one person who knows the truth, and he needs to come out and tell the truth to his teammates, to the University of Louisville, to his fans and to his coaches that have taught him to do the right thing for years and allowed him to be part of something special here."

It was apparently about 10K not tens of thousands. McGee was making about 35K a year and probably didn't have that many expenses - ate with the team, lived at Minardi Hall for at least a time, etc. Given that the period of time was 4 years - this would only be $2500 a year - totally doable and reasonable to expect that the money came out of McGee's own pocket. I would certainly think that if this was the work of a booster, more funds would have been involved to get a better class of stripper than the hoodrats that McGee came up with...

I'm gonna guess that Scott Cox is telling McGee something a little different...

IMO where McGee would get the money is an easy answer: There's ALWAYS some boosters that are willing to give cash under the table to help a program. Anything from the old $100 handshakes to Melvin Shapiro types. There's some in EVERY program. Somebody on the staff tells a few of these boosters that he needs some money for some activities that will help the program, those type boosters will hand over cash with no questions asked.

Pitino had people giving donations in $50,000 chunks to get Minardi Hall built, and got it done. McGee only needed $10k to cover a 4 year span. Easy peasy................

That doesn't make sense though. Why outsource any of it for that little bit of change?

Not quite accurate. It appears the 10k was just for Powell arranging the parties. According to ESPN's interviews with the former players and recruits, McGee also gave them pretty large sums of tip money and then of course, the side deals. It would have totalled way more than 10K. I was confused by tgat low number too, until today.
