How much is too much . . . .

Just attempting to get a feel for how much some of you would pay for Jeff Brohm to come home. I’d really like to hear from those original “bring Jeff home” folks that have been increasingly supportive of having Jeff as our next head football coach. I’m in favor of bringing Jeff home but I don’t want to break the bank to do that. Plus I don’t feel that his record indicates that he deserves $6 mil per year for a 5 or 6 year period. But that’s just me. How about it “Trinity mafia” folks? How much are you willing to have UofL pay for his services. And if he does come home are you willing to give close to a cool million for Holt to be the DC?

I’d say 36M over 8 years with 20M of it guaranteed and include some attainable performance incentives. Realistically even in a worst case scenario, JB would be here at least 5 years. Don’t know that I love Holt at 1M but we’ve paid as much for far worse.

Good luck with this. Under his current deal he would be at $25M over 6 (average $4.2M) add two years at $5M puts him at $35M over 8. So you think he is going to go through all of this for about $1M?

the kicker that no one has brought up is what other side offers can be reached with local businesses, maybe a local bank offers 1% new home loan or a better rate, could be they've got adidas on board and his shoe contract get's bumped. basically, the school may offer a salary that seems to low for him to make the move, but the side money here may be more significant than the side money there. it may not just be what salary is being paid or his want to come home or not, there could possibly be an additional million plus in side benefits. he'll get way more sponsorships than petrino just on personality alone, local boy comes home and was part of national powerhouse high school team, being a legend here has some money benefits. maybe he wants millionaire's row derby tickets for a group of 20 people, know how that costs?
 
btw, i think he's take $4.5 million with a lot of side sponsorships and tv shows

All of that....suite at cardinal stadium and the YUM for family, millionaires row seats at Church hill downs derby and oaks....free Trinity education....makers mark bottle with his face on it (LOL)......this is an actual city, the possibilities are endless.

I am retired and have lots of time. In retirement I do much the same as I did when working.
I have been visiting a multitude of sites and collecting data insights for the last 20 years in retirement .

Yep! Judging from the posts everyone in Louisville saw this as a slam dunk. Everyone on the family wanted to return to Louisville. Denigrate Purdue, West !afayette and everything and everyone. All the overwhelming evidence on your side. Lots of uninformed folks talking about Brady carrying on the family tradition of football at Trinity. Truth is we all have come to love our “Get back coach” who tweets recruits, gives tours of the truly amazing new football HG which Jeff helped design, and sends signals out when a verbal is pending.
Anyway, slam dunks are like jury verdicts when the decision is to reach. Delay indicates difficulty making a decision. In the meantime he continues doing Purdue’s work. The longer the delay the more I like our chances of Jeff, Jennifer, Brady and Brooke remaining a part of our Purdue family.

I really do not get it. You act like Purdoo is the end all be all of everything. I got news for you. Purdoo is not the end all be all of everything. It is TO YOU and that's fine, but do not expect people who are fans of UofL to feel the same way you feel. It doesn't work that way.

WHEN coach Jeff Brohm is introduced as the new UofL head football coach, will your arrogant ass along with your band of brothers come back here to eat crow since you were so convinced he would never leave Purdoo for his alma mater? It's a simple yes or no question. Man up skippy.

Never been to the Purdoo board, and won't be going over there regardless. Still think Jeff is coming home, and if I'm wrong then so what? I haven't said or done anything other than state my opinion. Opinions are just opinions until proven true or false. If I continued to say he is coming home even after someone else was named the head football coach, then it would no longer be opinon. It would be a lie. I do understand the difference. I do not think our Purdoo guests do.

They just dont realize that Purdue is a steppingstone to Brohm. Whether its UofL, another school or the NFL.

UofL has been there 4 times since 1994.

Brohm will don the Red and Black hat.
