How many missed dunks?

Mahmoud is an oddity in that regard. He MUST have really tiny hands. But that still doesn't explain his missed two handed dunks. Sure is puzzling.

David Padgett coaching ability should be questioned.

I don't think you can question anybody's coaching in regards to players missing dunks. The player simply has to know HIS limitations better. I think Padgett's influence can be seen in Mathiang and Johnson developing inside moves. They both use that jump hook in the lane effectively that was a trademark of Padgett's game.

That was weird today. Mahmoud has no trouble getting up, I've seen him block shots well above the rim - but on those 2 missed dunks today it was like he got just the bare minimum elevation to get the ball over the rim. Jump 3 inches higher and he makes both.

Did we break some sort of record for missed dunks this year? I'm amazed that a 7'0" guy could miss an uncontested dunk.

Goes back to toughness. A 7 footer who can dribble like a guard, pass behind his back, and wink while swishing free throws - yet he fails to go up strong around the rim. He'll learn from it.

On the replays of both misses it appeared he just didn't jump high enough.
