Would love to add this guy to the back court but I know that isn't happening. Good size at 6'4. Nice assists, scoring, rebound numbers, and experience this team could use. I wonder if there is a specific reason Payne hasn't gone after any grad transfers.

Let's see if they do anything with this final spot. That said, it appears he is looking to play positionless basketball. Or, he likes Davis. It's a mystery that will be solved when the season starts.

Not saying he's coming here or the staff will even try for him, but if Love happened to come here, there could be amazing lineups rolled out. A starting five of Clark, Love, White, James (as the 4), and Huntley-Hatfield with Koron, Flowers, JJ and either Evans or Okorafor as the backup five would be fun to watch. That being said, that roster would test KP's abilities to the max in my opinion. But with the right playing style, that group could produce W's.

he's not appearing to do that, it's been his plan all along. every intereview i heard from KP last year he said he wanted 5 guys who all could basically do the same thing. He wants 5 Rodney McCray's essentially imho, dudes who can dribble, pass, defend, post up and rebound no matter where they are. Kp's goals the entire time has been to play this way. ie., the Ted Lasso Season 3 style of play. it's not new, it's not appearing, it's been his plan and philosophy. he wants the prototypical Denny Crum 6'5" guard who can post up.

I think Kaleb Glenn will surprise some people. As of right now would love to see a line up of:

Clark
Flowers
White
Glenn
BHH

With Davis, James, Traynor, Okorafor, Evans rounding the bench out. Williams will see some action too I bet as well as the Miami transfer.

Would be grea to have another guard though. This would a great pickup. Love would be too.

Thx, I haven't listened to any interviews and didn't get to see many games last year. Been a little tougher for me to follow the team, the ins, the outs. I do like the back and forth on the boards though. I know he didn't get a chance to put together a great roster last year, and he's done a good job assembling some talent this year.

If, big if, but if this roster works like KP wants, it would be pretty dangerous with the overall size this team has. Like Leonard Hamiltons good FSU teams.

However, we already have an idea from last year of what happens when guys are playing out of position and try to do things they aren't capable of doing. All that height last year meant nothing when the personnel isn't up to the task. Not saying it will be as bad as last year but it could be a struggle.

Glenn will have to seriously work on his foot speed. I love his physicality, honestly reminds me of Chane a bit but he’s not as quick.

Would Glenn be able to play the 4 in spurts? If so he could back up JJ since the 3 seems really stacked.

KP plans on playing Davis as the back up PG the kid has the skills KP feels that fit what he wants as does Flowers and Williams . He is going to sit on that last spot and wait it out.

agree on the struggle part but i still think he was stuck with a roster he knew wouldn't work, just tried to put bodies out there, he constantly said in interviews as i summarize, "who am i replacing the bad players on the floor with (worse players)?". i compeltely think he knew, and JH knew last season was going to be a bust in all accounts and the record meant nothing. i think he wants his system and knew it would take a year beacuse of possible infractions to start getting kids he wants.

he could have just tried to win games last year but would have built zero culture. and it's that culture he's trying to build that i hope has been impressed on all the kids coming in, that they know what's expected, and that if 8 of them buy in we will win 20 games. mark that down.
but as you say, if only three buy in and and the rest just can't take it, them KP will be gone before year 3. but i truly honestly expect 20 wins this year. expectations are a bitch but heck i'm throwing that positivitiy out there this year. last year football doubled the basketball teams wins, so i'll say reverse that, bball doubles football so football 10 wins and bball 20 this year. and as the Hawk Harrelson of the ChiSox calls a homer...Put in on the Booooaaaard, YES!!!!

i tend to hear more games on the radio then see them. i've also learned that listening dampens the sting as i do not actually get to see the bad plays so no screaming at the tv and shutting it off. but i'm crazy superstitious. i only watched 2013 title game on web game tracker, no sound, after we went down int he first half. i didn't watch the game until after my wife screamed we won. same in 1987. i recorded game on vhs and rewatched after i saw game was over. i get sick to my stomach, my heart pounds, and i sweat a ton so really cannot watch title games ever. so learned to take the stress of my body by listenign on radio and many times heard after game interviews w/ KP. and during games many, many times CBV talking about how well designed a play they ran but jsut didn't make the shot. tons and tons of times saying how they are running great plays and thus being coached great in practice but then just stupidity and blankness enters players heads, one mans screws up and everything else falls apart. but on radio, the impression i always got ways KP was coaching them up and put them in great positions but either one guy blew everything up, or simply when we bricked a shot, the shooter woudl then hang hsi head and start the bad juju. heard that a ton, KP kept saying don;t worry abotu misses, i trust you, btu in game CBV would always say after an easy miss, player would hang their head and the mind games start. you have to forget misses and keep shooting but our players just could not keep positive confidence rolling. one miss and the bad thoughts always instantly creeped into the players head. i trlu beleive KP was doing a great coaching job, we ran tons of successful plays, but we could not play enough defense as too many players couldn;t learn and play with instincts instead of reacting. we were always one or two players being a 1/10th of a second behind. that's the impression radio gave me last year. tons of positives to hear and i think this year you are going to see a team averaging 80+ points. i truly do
