I only signed up for UK tickets this year and this is the absolute earliest I can ever recall of such notifications. I always fear I will miss the cut for UK away tickets but I have received them every year. I'm not sure what the ticket allowance is but I'm pretty certain there are more season ticket holders with higher points than me than there are available visitor tickets. Furthermore, with the $110M contraction of CWS there may be fewer visitor seats now available.
That suggests a similar thing to me about our fans as I have noticed about BBN...they cannot stand the thought of seeing their team take a loss in Louisville. While a small sample, I have been told that very thing by friends and family who are UK season ticket holders; people who will readily travel to Vandy or SC for an away game.
Don't get me wrong; our crowd in Lexington is always better than their crowd in Louisville but I really thought there would be more visitor ticket demand (from both sides) for this rivalry.
