Good Read RE Satterfield

Great article that pretty much says it all. I have to admit that I was not an early adopter of the Satterfield selection but I’m all in. From everything I’ve read there is one huge box he checks...Intelligence!! This is a coach who is crafty in game scheming and in recruiting. Have to think the Governor’s cup will soon find a permanent home in Louisville based on this fact alone.
Not sure why, maybe foolish optimism, maybe coach search fatigue, maybe Brohm hangover...who knows, but I’m feeling really good about Scott (yep, time to start calling him that). Just think of this, Appy St. has competed with and put scares into some of the FBS big boys. Makes next season’s opener that much more interesting.

Don't expect the man to come in ist year and work miracles gonna be a while . Their is alot of damage to clean up with this FB program total rebuild . First and foremost he has to get these players mindsets to change which is usually t
he hardest part.Along with recruiting players to fit his sysytems rebuilding the putrid O and D lines which really takes awhile because players need at least a year to get up to weight on the O lines . His system is predicated on a running game so definelty need O linemen. I see a influx a Junior college on this team for a couple of seasons.

I expect the same thing Charlie Strong did year one. I’ve provided very conclusive stats which showed that the ACC is not any more competitive top to bottom than the Big East we played in was, so we should be competing for a bowl game next year. I expect a complete mindset change from what we saw after the FSU game. I expect sound, mentally tough football in all three phases.

We get that, and no more 5 TD blowouts, and we will be well on the road back.

This is far from a total rebuild. It will require work but not a total rebuild.
