Golf was the lead discussion of the local radio broadcasts

Amen to that!

I watch golf two weekends a year - Masters and British Open. My golf season is half over. Bring on the FB!

What's up with him and the injury drama? Someone in such great shape always getting hurt!?

Someone should tell him not to use his hurt arm (on the same hole) to support the weight of his body as he reaches to retrieve the ball from the cup. lol

Heh. Check the link. Probably the only time I was remotely interested in Tiger and that's just because I'm immature.

EDIT: Can't link it for some reason

I do not care if someone likes golf or not, the Spieth kid is a pretty impressive human being. Solid as a rock...already.

The majors always draw attention from sports media, and Louisville is into golf, look at the crowds out at Valhalla during the PGA's , Tiger getting in contention (barely) on Saturday added to the drama. Tiger adds attention for 2 reasons, 1.) His game when he's on, is from another planet. And 2.) A lot of people watch to hope he falls apart because they're tired of him dominating the game or just don't like his personality. I'm a little of both. I love to watch all the majors.

That young man gets it. He thanked the volunteers and the staff at the golf course, and the fans for coming out to support the event. That was pretty classy.

I think I'm going to like this kid. 21 years old and he gets it. It's nice to see.

Enjoy the nice spring weather and perhaps have a few cold beverages this summer.

I do admit it's an incredible story. I hate that he has to be mentioned in the shadow of Tiger. "Is he the next Tiger" "His personality is totally different from Tiger's" "Will Tiger come back to challenge him". Just talk about the kid himself. Forget Tiger.

Speith is the real deal. I bet Tiger feels like an idiot now for talking a little smack about him before the tournament. --The diapers comment. Yet, Tiger was the one crying on the course. lol

Why not the U.S. Open and the PGA? Only two out of the four majors. They all have the same field of players basically and 3 or the 4 switch courses every year, what is the X factor that causes you to watch 2 majors but not the other 2?
