Don't want to get real personal and negative after an emotional loss but Gill's NC State performance IMO was a fluke. Back to the same old Gill today, but in his mind he's Jordan.

Yeah I'm not sure what Anton did wrong today and without his so called "fluke" the other night NC State is playing Michigan State today.

Gill should settle into a nice role player for this roster IMO over the next 2 years. He'll be a junior next year and he should improve some over the summer if he works hard. He has some skills, so now all he really needs is some confidence and for the game itself to slow down for him. He's in too big of a hurry right now which means things are still too fast for him. Sometimes kids have a real hard time with that transition from HS to college. Sometimes the game never slows down for them. Hopefully it will for Anton. He seems like a good kid.

He made some good moves and the ball just wouldn't go down. I'd say he was on par with Terry today when it comes to offensive struggles.

No it wasn't a fluke. Did the same thing against Georgia Tech. "Flukes" aren't that frequent.

It's a young guy starting to get his legs. Progress too slow for some of our fans, but not for the coaches and hopefully not for him and his family.

He's an L1C4 guys who will leave here in a couple years with a degree and a lotta good memories...

Rozier played with him in prep school and believes in him. That's good enough for me

Hey Zip, looks like both Anton and Rick agreed with me! FLUKE!

Welp, sometimes you swing and miss with your comments. Looks like both the coaches and his family felt like a change was best.

I have 22,000 or so posts to choose from. If that's your best example of a whiff, I'm feeling pretty good.

Great timing with that post............ Not only wrong, but wrong mere hours before it was made official.

I liked Gill's game, he just wasn't a fit for this system.

His game is more suited for a wide open get up and down style where defense isn't the priority. There are plenty of programs from power conferences and mid-major levels that could probably use his skills. He can get to the rim and he can hit a shot. As a scorer he needs minutes to actually produce something.

With that being said, throwing out "theory" and going by the #'s, he never took the next step needed here and I'm pretty confident his FG and FT %'s can be replaced, along with his PPG and defensive lapses.

I wish him nothing but the best. He could be a good piece for the right team.

Therein lies the problem and the point that I keep trying to make. There's been A LOT of guys come in lately that "weren't a good fit for the system".

RP should have known whether they fit his system before bringing them on board, having them sit for a year or two then leave. Gill was one that I was stoked about when he signed. I envisioned him being being that shooter that must be respected by opposing defenses. Of course I had the same hopes for Nunez.........

Rick needs to get this issue locked down and taken care of. There's so many holes in next years line up that he's now looking at 1 year eligible graduate transfers. That's no way to have to run a top 10 program.
